  1. relax bro, i'm just a consultant, not a labourer the materials etc i trust my foreman to handle it. my concern is safety and long-lasting. like you, i don't believe in cutting corners for short term gains in fact, because my aim is not to gain from the business, that's why i can do that if there are 2 methods to do it and one is better but materials cost more, of course i'll choose the better one (they don't really cost that much more anyway).
  2. welcome to RT good that you're doing very little reno works! reduce reuse and recycle!
  3. imho, yes. but i only use level 2. there are 6 levels for my induction cooker. lvl 1 is useful to keep warm, lvl 2 is for general cooking. i can cook a cup of water in about 15 seconds at level 2.
  4. don't worry, it won't be a problem since you are using a bathtub
  5. welcome to RT, can i be a contestant?
  6. HAHAHA no ways! Why didn't you buy it? Actually everything was big, just the walking space was small
  7. Wow you won a nintendo wii I see your name Anyway, how much did you spend on the f360?
  8. yes they are corridor windows so they have to be sliding. otherwise i would recommend casement. some have fixed panels instead, can't open at all
  9. practically, 2 panes allows less air to flow through since only 1 pane can be open at any one time. 3 pane window would allow 2 panes to be open. but i guess if the owner wants 2 panes, it's their choice.
  10. nooo i use induction. less oil vapours produced during cooking so no need for a hood
  11. there are 3 colours, red, yellow and black i wonder how much el nino got it at.
  12. just tell her my renotalk nick can liao. haha, my irobot also nap on my floor after cleaning it up
  13. Apparently turning on costs money but turning off doesn't (it's kinda funny sometimes). However, removal of the gas pipe extension into your home costs money. So when I took over the flat from the previous owner, I did not "take over" the utilities from them. Instead, I emailed SP to faciliate the removal of the gas pipe extension as I had no need for SP gas So there was no charge to me because all I did was ask them to help me turn on the water, which is not chargeable. I think the previous owner was charged for the removal of gas pipe extension though
  14. Your space plan looks so much like mine
  15. wow this is scary, it's been so long since jason and now it's florence too?

  18. for cost savings, you can find me
  19. The grime and slime can be easily removed with Rayen scale remover, only $5 from Horgamas Will look almost as good as new!
  20. My Hansgrohe MBR tap costs almost as much as my washbasin You can always hire a plumber to replace your expensive taps with cheap ones and you can bring the taps with you
  21. I got my raindance shower head and my mbr tap from Hansgrohe and was very happy with the decision, it was only $250 in total during their 25% sale (which happens quite often). Just get their cheapest range, it's still good quality I got some RAF (italian) items from PohJoo, like a concealed shower lever and a kitchen tap for $210 in total. Pretty good, imho I also got a malaysian tap for my common toilet basin, it's not as smooth as the rest, but serves the purpose. Oh, you can see my prices in my signature
