    I've used Ikea Stolmen for 6 yrs before without problems. The Stolmen system will be discountinued in 2015. For my reno now, I purchased from Ikea again. It's powder-coated now, even nicer than before. I even bought a few boards extra for keeping. Poles are aluminium, shelves and drawers are fiberboards.

    You are so right ... maybe I'm used to top-mount sink all these while. When I compared the one I bought with the old top sink, it's bigger but looked so small when mounted under the counter-top ... sigh ... cannot change liao.

    Well, it is a HDB to begin with ... There is indeed a TV feature wall, how not to have, wouldn't the TV look boring on just the wall? There isn't any package with our id, the quotation is itemized. I think it's still quite alright, not the level for decor magazines because too much cost went into the rehaul of the whole place. The cost of windows, hacking, railing, electrical wiring are simply killers ...

    Quartz surface is up. FInally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Hob is mounted too. From the dining area. The sink is small now that it's mounted Can't change already .... Near impossible ... I comfort myself that this time round, I have lots of counter-top space!

    I think you shouldn't pay for the aircon damage. Instead, you should ask for compensation. Why? Because if the pipe is damaged, no matter how they sealed or join back, it's a point of weakness and it will leak, water condensation later. Happen to me before and the aircon service guy told me the joint is a point of weakness.

    Take it as a lesson learnt. I had a similar experience with a plumber before and cost me $500. Well, you could have downright rejected him when he quoted you $400. If it doesn't feel right, don't agree.

    I bought 2 x KDK Baby Junior, 1 x KDK V-Touch Junior, 1 x KDK Sensa 5 for S$630. Very cheap in my opinion. I don't really care about the service because if the fan really spoilt, I plan to just go back and buy another one to replace.

    Met up with our ID to discuss some details. The cabinets are coming along nicely. Cutting the hole for the kitchen sink. An ID firm told me that they couldn't do solid veneer doors, only semi-core doors. We were fortunate that ours was able to do it for us. It cost an additional $130 per door but I really liked the solid feel. How do we verify it's indeed solid? I tried to lift it up and I could barely do it! I could lift the semi-core veneer door we did for the common bathroom with ease!

    But I see all the water pipes and electrical wiring are concealed in BTO now leh. From the pics that the Renotalk forumners posted. I so envy them. I spent a bomb but still don't get concealed.

    Last Friday I confirmed the design, Tues arrived, yesterday skeleton up. I waited 7 weeks since the start of renovation loh. Can't wait to move in ...

    Yah hor, I didn't think so much leh. I used Ariston before so just thought of getting the same brand. I paid $899 at GR Link, Jln Besar. I always thought Bosch is expensive and by then, the accessories hunting fatigue is starting to set in .... On hindsight, maybe should have check out more brands first because 3 weeks on, the oven isn't installed yet!

    You bet. 1st time most of the furniture is new and will be delivered from the retail shop. Now, I'm reusing most of my furniture too. Still, with "recycling" ... renovation costs still so much higher .... Can't imagine if I had to buy new furniture as well.
