well those without ballast... bulbs blow faster. but its up to u if u want ballast or not.... for electronic, they cost much more, but heard the light wont flicker so much. any thoughts?

Hi! getting my new home and have 3 downlights all throughout my apartment. when i turn them on... how disappointed i was! They FLICKER many times before lighting up, and after they light up, they HUM! BUZZING! and its sooo irritating! I believe they are energy saving bulbs with australian ballast. Bought from a shop near braddell. Cost me $33 bucks each. As recommended by my ID. Anyone with more experience can advice me on what to do? I spoke to ID's electrician but he says all downlights are like that. Should I ask the lights supplier to change the lights? Or buy a different set from another store? Get electronic ballasts? Thanks!
