Yup, don't need to hack any walls. The current layout looks good. It's big for a 4 room!

Haha... then you don't need a tv lah... Just get a LCD monitor and view videos online when you want to watch shows. I initially wanted to get a samsung, but waited for very long the price still never come down... So got the philips which was going for a good price loh... Only hope that it will last! *fingers crossed*

Our 42" full HD tv that we ordered from the IT fair arrived today! Wife collected it, can't wait to go back and see the pic quality. Here's the model that we ordered - 42PFL5609. Got it for $999 with $100 philips voucher, HDMI cable, wall mounting and delivery.

There are darker kinds which are long and rectangular (like my vanity area tiles), but not suitable for bathroom as they could be slippery. Will search and see if i have any close up pictures of my vanity tile to show you. Lime green and silver sounds good also. You can take a look at Rondy's blog for a green kitchen. For me, i completed my own design first and then pass to Alan. Was surprised when he got his staff to give me 3D drawings based on that! But of course design got change along the way... I find it easier to draw using sketchup to explain what changes i have in mind. Cos it is easier to have miscomm based on verbal only, best is always to show the final pic to agree on. Do explore the google 3D warehouse to import the furniture models that are available. At first i didn't know about it and wasted extra effort to draw my own wardrobe. haha....

In the original schedule that Alan gave me, the painting was supposed to be done after CNY.. So we were surprised again when progress was so fast that they started painting 4 days before CNY and also managed to install the kitchen cabinet! Ta Da! Here's our orange and white kitchen! One side of the wall painted orange Installation of cabinet starts immediately after painting of kitchen was done

Cheapest Place To Get Your Electronic Goods
coldflamez replied to johnson11ng's topic in Electronics & Electricals
haha, yup. But that is needed so that we know the other shops' prices in order to push the price down further mah... -
Seahorse discount is like forever one... The discount was there even back in sept 09 when i was looking around... But if you are on a budget, Seahorse's product are quite value for money... Have been sleeping on a relatively cheap seahorse single mattres for many years and it is still as firm as ever.

I just got my fridge and wm from best denki.. One thing i learnt is that you can bargain Anywhere! You just need to do your homework... Mega discount, Parisilk and Audio house is a good place to get quotes for the item that you want. You can then just go to another shop and ask them if they can better the offer. -
hi, any updates?

Cement screening of kitchen wall + Construction of low wall Cement screening of bedroom floor so that laminate flooring can be installed nicely. The part that is tiled will be partitioned off to become a mini vanity area! Like the wood-like long tiles a lot!! And lastly, the finished bathroom/toilet floor with another wood-like tiles that we chose! Love how it turned out. Swee right?

Carrying on with the reno process... Too bad we had to work throughout the reno progress and therefore could only view the finished product after work... The kitchen tiles were finished in 1 day also. However there were a bit of miscomm for the kitchen tiles and they were not layed in the manner that we wanted. We initially wanted the rectangular tiles to be layed in a staggered manner along the length of the kitchen, so i was a bit unhappy when i saw that the tiles were layed in a grid pattern horizontally... Had a discussion with Alan and he said that the tiler did it this way in order to allow water to flow towards the drainage hole. The way we wanted would not allow them to create a slight slope for the way to flow. He thought he had informed us already but that was not the case. So this was the only part of the reno where i was not very satisfied with but we decided to accept it as the current pattern didn't look that bad... Have to give and take a bit, i guess. For the living room tiles, it took 2 days to finish. Nothing to fault for this... We thought we chose white glossy homogeneous tiles but it turned out that it was actually more towards cream colour, probably because the showroom's lightings were super bright. But the outcome was still not bad.

Coming up! Our own ideas brought to life using Google Sketchup! Ok lah, it may not be ID standard but i'm still quite satisified with the drawings.
