Waa, a bit hard to see the words... anyway, seems that you will have 3 sliding doors with your layout, and likely only 1 door can be opened at a time. So you will need to align the interior layout according.
-
Hmm, you can consider something like my pull-out countertop if you really need more space. But i'm not sure abt the cost as it was included in the whole cabinet price.

Actually should ask for some spare one in case you need to replace some portion in the future and the laminate is not in production anymore. I got the leftover cut pieces as well as some spare pieces, thinking to do some small diy for the small pieces. Any ideas? Saw in some thread that suggested coasters. Btw gimz, good choice of colour. I like the white laminate effect in the living room!

I heard my name. Here's the flexible tap that i got from GR Link. Got it at 40+. We really liked it so far.

Hmm, maybe you can clarify if it is 50kg each?

I think the legs are actually sold by IKEA ($49 each): http://ikea.com.sg/en/catalog/detail.asp?a...d=frame&b=3 So you just need to get a sturdy piece of wood and someone to help you fix the wood to the legs..

Care to share your story? I had a horrible experience with C&H also. Agent misled us into signing commission agreement with him by saying that it was a HDB rule to engage an agent. When we later found out that was false and complained to the company, they didn't even bother to investigate the matter. And this was not from a newbie agent, it was from one of their director level agent... Just our luck as a first-timer to meet a bloodsucker who conned easy money out of us without doing any thing. What to do, can only hope karma will strike this kind of dishonest agents who have no qualms over cheating people out of their hard-earned money..

Yup, i saw this from someone's blog and asked Alan if he could do it too. Turned out Asia Excel sells these kind of doors and he helped us to install it. It's not bad lah, it allows us to utilize the corner space fully without buying those expensive basket thingy that rotates. Save more $$! Haha...

You should talk to your ID abt this. If she is out to chop you, it's hard to fully trust her... -
no, not termites i think. These are quite small, even smaller than the normal black ant..

Swee ah!! looks like hotel!

Does anyone know how to deal with small white ants? I noticed quite a number crawling around on my wooden furniture. I don't know where they are coming from, only stayed at my newly renovated place for 1 month plus.. Would appreciate any advice. Thks.

For my 4 room, my contractor estimated around 8 weeks too but in the end completed in around 5 weeks+. If minus away CNY, it would be 4 weeks + only. It really depends on the contractor's ability to schedule work to proceed smoothly or concurrently. But agree 6 weeks should be a reasonable timing, barring any unexpected incidents.

Oh, so you got the bookshelf. I was considering if i should ask for it also, haha... Anyway it matches the color of your floor quite nicely, so good for you.

Actually it's not considered expansion as only the basin was installed there. So it's still considered dry area as there wouldn't be much splashing of water onto the floor. I installed my basin outside the bathroom and in the MBR also, no permit was needed for this. You can take a look at my blog to see the end result.

I like this also, there are many variation on instructables.com. But you need to note that the shoes might be wrinkled if you place them in that position too long.

I have amended my signature to include some recommended and not-recommended shops. Hope this can help new RTers get good deals and avoid those shops with bad service. Have only added those which i have personally experienced, that's why places like homage and S&C are not featured although many forumers seemed to have gd experience with them. Will encourage more people to do this also, think it will definitely be helpful to newbies looking for info. At the same time, just need to be careful of phantoms members posting to promote themselves or discredit rivals. Hope this will help to promote good services and weed out the baddies. Cheers! :sport-smiley-004:

Oops, did not see your post till now... For the design, we did not want to spend more money to engage ID. So we spent lots and lots of time to come up with the design that we like. To keep the budget down, we also had to think hard abt what we really need and trim away the 'unnecessary' stuffs like custom-make feature wall, L-box etc... Aiya, all reno confirm will have problems one. The important thing is how the contractor/ID respond and rectify the errors. I must say that Alan has been very responsible and immediately got his guys to rectify whatever defects that we spotted. Although there were still one or two things that cannot be solved, we can accept them because he explained to us the valid reasons. Overall that's why we recommend him strongly. Will pm you his num, but i heard that he has been very busy with commercial projects, so he's getting his staff to handle new cases.

waaa, all fish-eye photos... look till blur liao.... Condition looks very good!

Yup, Hommage and Beng Tuan are quite close to each other. If you want to walk walk, there are a few other furniture showroom along that stretch also.

Let me go home and measure loh... The service at the showroom was so so, not much problem. They said they can hold the items for us first and therefore we placed a deposit for the items. We told them we will call them to arrange for delivery and they said ok. However when i tried to contact them 2 months later, the phone line was no longer in use!! I got a scare as i thought they closed down. After trying ways and means, i finally managed to contact them and found out they changed their number. So frustrated loh, how could they change the number without informing customers who have orders pending... :fire: As for the delivery, they arrived on time but the wardrobe that i ordered had some scratches inside... I asked abt it and they said that the shelves were placed inside the wardrobe during transportation, therefore the shelves shifted around and scratched the interior. The delivery guy then used a black marker to try to hide the scratches. At that time, i was so exhausted with all the reno stuffs, so i just closed one eye and accepted loh. Overall, the changing of phone num is a 1 time thing, so you probably don't have to worry. Delivery wise, really depends on your luck loh. My shoe cabinet had no problem. Gd thing is that some of the items there are quite cheap. I got my 10 door wardrobe for $399. Quality is not top notch but still acceptable by us, so it's a good place to go if you are on a budget.

Oh, then it definitely won't fit... Mine is 1.6m tall. I got it from Beng Tuan Trading near macpherson road, they got some cheap and nice furniture. However service wasn't that great..

Yup, tiles with rough surfaces are much harder to clean. There are different degrees of roughness for non-slip tiles. So have to strike a balance loh... Check out rondy's blog. He used similar rough tiles for his bathroom also. Think he had some problem with white foam remaining on the tiles after showering.
