Mine is a tall shoe cabinet with shiny black surface. You can take a look here. It's shown at the corner of the living room. I can take a close up picture if you want. Got it for $180 plus delivery if i remember correctly. There was also another taller one (1.8m) that was selling at $200+.

One place that they often don't paint is the top of the door, which i think is quite sloppy practice. Makes it harder to wipe dust if there's no paint at all.

Was he wearing red underwear? If yes, he must be Angteko. :P :P

Gd that the headache of confirming your ID is over... So roughly how much did they quote you? Then we can see how much your hubby's 'friend' tried to chop you all...
-
waaa, scary leh, not knowing what the cost will be... maybe you should get your dad to ask for a tentative price? my parents also got a relative to help with reno work in the past, bill turned out to be more ex than the norm but my parents still felt compelled to engage him because of face issue.. So might have to be careful here to avoid any misunderstanding and unhappiness.

Btw, your hubby has so little space for his clothes!!! Haha....

Thanks! It's just great to relax in our house after all the hard work and stress over the last year... Only problem is that we have to get used to housework!!
-
You should faster call up the company immediately to let them know that the sales person wrote dowm the wrong model!! Think you should try to change if possible... At the same time, also let your ID know that you are trying to change the hob... If the size of the hob does not differ too much, perhaps they can still fit that in... Hope things work out for you..

Nice cosy feel. Lots of storage space.. Why expensive taste? Because of the industrial tap?
-
just a small comment. the lower cabinet has a mixture of 2 and 3 drawers.. think it might not appear very 'smooth' and sleek..

Yup, i saw the article too. What did they mis-quote?? But i don't like how the article claims that housing is affordable because 54% are paying 25k COV and below.. 25k is still a lot of money!! Besides that, although they say that the median COV only increased slightly, housing prices have actually increased much more because the current valuation has increased due to last quarter's high COV. It's really a vicious cycle.... :curse:

Sent! Saw that you have asked IDs and contractors to send you quotes in another thread. Gd luck with that.

Yo, your house is really swee man... :good: Just kapo, why did you install the fan in the bathroom? Need to cool down when bathing meh? lol

Actually i think it definitely can be replaced if the worker is careful... I got my contractor to replace only 1 tile for my bathroom wall which had an old ledge to put soap. No problem with damaging the surrounding tiles. Think he may be trying to get you to give up cos if his worker make a mistake, he will need to spend more $$ to repair the damage..

Yup, saw this company specializing in storage platform but it will cost around 4k to hire them! So was quite glad when we checked with Alan and he said he could do it also, at a much cheaper price! Now have lots of storage space, still quite a lot of compartments not used yet. haha....

Ok, sent! Wow, you are planning so far ahead... Getting BTO?
-
just measured the wardrobe, it's 8ft long.
-
Yo, you haven't bought your wardrobe? We were quoted around 2.2k for the full wardrobe plus the low cabinet beside the wardrobe. But again, this is before the generous one-off discount that Alan gave, so don't know what the final discounted price is. haha...

My nice MBR light from lightcraft.

ohh, you can see that from this picture... Of cos you can expand it if you have the space. We didn't expand too much as we wanted more space for our wardrobe. Hope this helps.

Thks! here's the close-up of the storage area, every one of the compartment can be lifted up with a small suction hook ,including the stairs. The bed could be lifted up also like a normal divan storage bed. We were quoted around 2.4k for the whole storage platform before discount. That's much cheaper than what we were quoted from system mind and aussie closet. So think it's quite worth it.
