hihi, thanks, ya, some friends also advised me to write in to MP. but managed to get info from other guy friends who been to NS that can book out for immediate family member's wedding. just that must quickly ask the PS or CO on the first day of enlistment. they also say CMPB wont bother with all the paperwork for just one recruit who haven't go in yet. one of them ask his PS/CO. he went in, 2nd day come out attend wedding alr. think we're gonna try that out. go straight to the person with authority. hehe. another thing is i dun even noe who my MP is. i think is Seng Han Thong la, but the AMK-YCK website only states they in charge of which HDB blocks, never indicate which private estate. and the only time i see any sign of PAP is when the elections come and i see banners around the estate. :P

nice 3D drawings... kpo a bit.. the width of the door panels look quite big in the drawing, would they 'eat up' a lot of space (cannot put things behind)?

wahh.. i agree with wcseow. the kitchen cabinets, looks like their doors spoil then they just leave the broken doors on top of the cabinet. i think u'll be real glad once the hacking and removal starts.

hehe, yes, dedicated gaming room for the hubby, but he gets kicked out of the room if i ever have a mahjong session. wahahaha. so far only got PS3 and Wii, using philips 42" ambilight TV and one of their older range HTS6600. err, who is GG? wcseow?

Citygas ppl coming to check heater & dryer cos not working. Last round of floor varnishing in the afternoon. And after the electrician comes by next week. All I'm left with is to buy carpet tiles and lay it in the game room. and the house will be complete! Digressing away from the reno. appealing for some advice from anyone who might know anybody in such a situation before. my wedding is going to be held later this year. my brother is enlisting into the army (he just completed his poly studies) just 5 days before my wedding. There is a compulsory 2 weeks confinement period. So we wrote in to CMPB with all the documentary proof - church booking confirmation, hotel contract & hotel deposit receipt. We were feeling hopeful cos it is an immediate family member after all. We asked first for early enlistment. Rejected. Then we asked for a day off. Rejected. "cannot interrupt training." Now, I don't know if we want to try again, cos my parents are worried if we keep pushing on this matter, they're gonna make life difficult for my bro in the army. And I definitely cannot change my wedding date. It's just quite upsetting that my own dear brother cannot be at my wedding. Has anyone come across such a situation before?

wah, is a zutter expensive? u noe i nv thot of making calendars before. haha. for me, i just do as and when i got inspiration. sometimes stare at the papers very long, also cannot think up anything to do.

haha, i don't attend classes leh, i started off buying the encyclopedia for scrapbooking, design books and just went at it. i also like to have big spaces, so i can spread out the stuff while working on it. the trolley sounds like a good idea, i'll consider it. hehe. now i just wait for the house to be all ready then see which space i can chope. have u tried those die-cut machines before? wanted to get one, but can't bring myself to spend tt much. every scrapbooking shopping trip creates a huge hole in the wallet.

hehe, remember to save some paint for the trunking if u want to 'camouflage' them.

wahhh.. scrapbook room!! don't forget to cater space for cabinets to store all those small little embellishments and scrapbook paper. silly me only realised today i nv cater any space for it, now my turn to do on the dining table. how bout considering those portable tower fans? i'm getting that for my dining area, which can also shift into kitchen.

*blink blink* i where got so bad to my hubby. hahahahaha... but he everytime nag me la, say why women so mahfan, men only need 3 pairs of footwear - sports shoes, work shoes, slipper. while i'll be like, i need one for my black dress, one for jeans, one for white, red, pink, blah blah blah... until he just shake head and zone off. this cabinet can put abt 30 pairs, i think it should be enough la. i hope. haha ya, cos the carpenter say, would it funny to suddenly start the cabinet at the beam. so i told him to add an umbrella holder there.

Two thumbs up! Progress looking good. Very soon, tiles will be up. I find that the slowest thing in a reno is carpentry leh.

hehe, i got mine from a contest in square rooms magazine u noe, i really dunno the difference btw knives leh. i just see. ok need to cut smth, just grab any knife that;s around. i only noe got chopper, fruit knife... err.. obviously i need to do more research. *gulp* yaya, me wan buy chopper too. so can use with those thick wooden chopping boards.

yaya, tt's the one. i always forget the brand name. either tt or a set from WMF. Going to Isetan to check it out tomorrow. My current chopping board is from Joseph Joseph. I also going to get one of those thick round wooden blocks for heavy chopping.

japanese knives good? i thought of just getting a set of the brand with the 2 men standing one.

haha, i like to measure zhun zhun one. bought a measuring scale from the isetan sale, that measure accurately up to 0.1g. its a pity iron chef doesn't provide recipes, i really like some of the dishes they cook. sometimes i watch in the middle of the night and munch on potato chips, pretending they're the dishes in the TV. hahaha.
