Ever since i quit public transport, i have not stepped near the jurong east MRT for years. The Popular bookstyore at IMM serves me well. Recently i went to the retail area beside the ex JEC, goodness... that's like the JB equivalent state of shops there. Nothing much to offer amid the quite rundown surroundings. Also there are two NTUCs within walking distance of each other, god knows for what reason. I hope the upcoming shopping centers around that area will bring with them new life for that dingy strip.

i think u can circumvent the need for a timer with a smaller storage tank. i am using a 15L tank for my family of 3. i turn on the heater when i wake up, have a coffee and water is hot by the time i have my shower. it's definitely hot enough for my entire shower. so basically we just switch the heater on as and when we need it.

higher floors are all EA. When i went viewing the EMs there, i find that they are generally quite dark, even in the afternoons... the trees in front and the EAs behind basically blocked off the natural light.

no lah, i am not jurong resident my whole life, just 26 years only. kekkekke i don't used to frequent the eateries around here at all, till i started working and my friends from all around singapore were telling me how jurong has nice food that THEY always freqeunt, i was like.....errrrrrrrrrrrr... like what huh? so nowadays i am more well versed with what is available here.... did i mention that the best dessert stall is at 463, a shop near to the center lift lobby? cheng tng there is the besterest, as are the rest of the offerings.

i have 3 of the baby fans in each of my bedrooms, and i feel a chill at speed 2 already.... best purchase for my house reno. Frees up the floor space, yet cut down the aircon bills.

whats the transacted price for EMs in 333 and 334 nowadays? last i enquired in early 2010, it was 500k for a 2nd floor. Those units that faces Chinese Garden, highest floor is only 6th, view blocked by the tall trees outside.

agree that Taman Jurong FC is well stocked with cheap and good food..... CKT, ngoh hiang, bbq seafood, BCM, fishhead curry (must try)... 505 market and FC also not bad, prolly the only hawker center in singapore where u have to self serve on kopi, milo, etc.... Go there for duck noodles, bukit timah cai tow kuay (chunky kind), ohhhh and steam chicken served with porridge and yu-sheng! this combo is very nice, and go a few stalls down to buy yew zhar kueh to dip in porridge...... bliss. I know 303 coffeeshop used to have the stall selling the good chicken curry, same one as the one in Amara Hotel fc... is it still there now after the renovation? Those of you who turn vegetarian every lunar 1st and 15th day.... can try the vegetarian 'restaurant' at 479.... i find it's one of the best vegetarian in the jurong area.
