Hi Nini, I also has performed the same to save cost but my painter has mentioned that dun think that the paint will last like what is showcase in the TV. After several wash and tear the paint might experience peeling and oil stains are stubborn and difficult to clean unless light cooking and no cooking at all this will work. Now thinking of backsplash or steel backing as an alternative. Tiles will work for the long run as they will last for a long time....but this up to individual and this is just my opinion... Hope this advices help. Cheers

Mine also sama sama design as yours and Simon...except my fridge not along the cabinets. But I like the colors need it to be bright so that my kitchen will not look so dull and dark becos reside at a corner. Good Job Mate! Looking forward for your housewarming! William

Hi Rondy, Yes, undermount suggest by capenter and rubber coating or waterproofing around the edge before the granite top is placed on top of the sink...but others has complain that the silicon will turn greenish and algae will grow from the edge with undermount than top mount....??? William

Hi Home Sweet Home, I glad Rondy is here to share his thoughts and opinion since he is a very experienced forummer who active in this forum for sometime he able to give you sound advice. For me I prefer price over the trend since my quotation available for me limits me to this tile size I have to choose within the range. As for the color combination, the tile shop will provide matching tiles on the sample walls. Why I chose the chocolate and white is also matching pattern with color contrast since I can't affordable radiant mosaic tiles for my toilets I have to choose other options. If you are more daring you can choose tiles that are very bright colors it will definitely bring out the trendy look without burning a big hole in your reno cost. Number of tiles as rondy has said the contract will know how much to order based on your floor plan...so no worry about this. Hope this advice will help and wish you have a wonderful journey in renovating our dream home. Cheers William

Thanks Bro Simon for the compliment, in reality we choose Henry also because we like your kitchen design. We tried to change the overall layout and color combination but the outlook will still look the same as it is produce by the same group of capenters..i think. What a coincidence that Momo also chose the same color combination orange and white....seen like we have the same taste...

Wah! Feeling very happy! Thank You bro rondy for your kind gesture! Really surprise and glad to get advance christmas gift! My kitchen cabinet, feature wall and TV console and MBR wardrobe is installing now by the carpenter. A big screw up on the kitchen cabinet as the area for my dry kitchen is not properly space out now not enough space for my electrical appliances to be placed at the socket. I have raised the concerns to the contractor and really headache over this. Is full of surprises, for the last lag of race to complete my renovation. Will post pictures once I go to my house to check on the progress. Thank you very much for the sweet gifts. William

Hi New, Very professionally shot, got talent to be private detective...leh! I know abt this neighbour when I last visit your place....really too much...abuse of CCTV. Others boh biah disturbed by loanshark need CCTV to dter and gather evidence, but this family installed for what purpose also not sure right...more like intruding others privacy.
-
Hi New, As you have said she will be able to ask for a transfer to other household once she completed another month of service. I think she can use that opportunity to escape from this terrible treatment...meanwhile u comfort her..but physical abuse confirm can report to police and bring the truth to light....
-
Hi New, Thanks for sharing, indeed really weird family with all the bad values. Lucky u kind-hearted and willing to share food and cakes with her. Is CCTV installation legal in HDB as I heard is not allowed unless authorised by police? Can see that your house really nicely done with the rainbow color door and drawing. Really brighten up the living room with the artistic feel. Good job looking forward you complete your jig-saw puzzle.
