  1. I added my string curtains recently for partitioning. Same thing i bought the curtain rods from ikea but i wanted to hang other type of curtains with ease so i chose a rod type instead of the threading type to hook the curtains. http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...g-curtains.html
  2. I just put up the strings curtains recently. But as we needed a little flexibility for us to hang other type of curtains too, we din opt for using velcro and we just use the normal curtain rod from IKEA instead. The string curtains help us to partition the room away from my work desk and perhaps future kids as we are staying with in laws so space is mainly constrain within a room itself. A platform bed is also used to help us save space too. Hope it helps other couples who runs into potential space prob like me n my hubby if they stay wif their in laws too http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...g-curtains.html
  3. Hi, Since I'm a novince with wall mural, I started out with the stick on the wall with ready stickers and then outline the flowers out manually. That particular first project helped me gained confidence and comfort with using paint to paint directly on the wall and at the same time train me to control the steadiness so that the edge is neat and not fuzzy. This is actually my very first piece of trial work which I din post the other time cos i thought no one would be interested in it anyway (but now i think sinceu asked it be good to share the whole experience): http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...ck-strikes.html http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...-bedsheets.html From there the 2nd project onwards, I decided to be more adventurous and directly sketch on the wall with a pencil before painting it. But as the pencil mark is kinda vague (i dun have a clear view of the overall layout so i draw by instinct), so as I paint, I make edits to how the floral/stem/leaf should look like for a better orientation. Cheers, Christine
  4. Hi, here's my diy wall mural =) I am staying wif my in-laws so i can only diy deco for just my room =) So far i only did bits and pieces here and there and is quite an amateur wif reno or deco since i haven have my home unit. But i agree that everytime i do wall murals on the wall => it is like clockwork => like some hobby! i m so envious that you pals have ur very own home to diy deco cos it is sooo fun!!! http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...-wal-panel.html http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...t-festival.html cheers, Christine
  5. Looks fun here with everyone diying their wall mural: Here's sharing from me too! http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...-wal-panel.html http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...t-festival.html
  6. Hi, Just want to share my wall mural too =) http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...-wal-panel.html http://christineandvitor.blogspot.com/2009...t-festival.html Actually I think wall mural is not too difficult. Just find a pic design on the web that you like and then use a pencil and sketch it on the wall, paint => voila done. but I do admit that a lot of patience and energy is required as each project usually takes 3-5 hours. But do note, when u are drawing, do some reality check in the graphic layout (in terms of the balance) by walking to a distance away from the wall esp if u are draing a huge graphic as I have prob visualising it when i am too close to the wall. Hope it helps for those who are also diying wall murals in their room =)
