hey marcus, you are staying near my MIL place.. nice layout & very easy to plan.. i like the open concept of the kitchen.. but really have to consider whether you will be doing heavy cooking,, this will cause your living room to smell.. & have to clean the whole house after each meal.. remain as original will be a better choice.. any pic of the original condition of the house?

am i too late to vote? i choose option 2.. considering the chip mosaic in option 1.. i'm oso afraid that in the long run if the tiles really chipped then have to change your toilet again.. btw.. how much is your bling bling red tiles? look very nice.. i thinking of changing my kitchen backsplash too.. tml have to make a trip down to hafary.. hopefully still in time to change.. coz we alr give jason the tile order list..

if your seller is willing to sell @ a earlier date.. you can let the officer who is processing the appln know.. coz the officer did ask us when we want our 2nd appt.. i think they can do it in 6 weeks... try asking the officer.. when i was @ sin lek.. jason oso ask us to take off our shoe & try stepping on the tiles.. we oso can't visualise the selected tiles.. think you can check with jason whether his previous client had selected them before.. i think Hafary has more resort style tiles.. you should go there to check it out..

my selections... we got this from sin lek.. this time jason was with us.. he was actually accompanying another client for tiles selection.. imo sin lek has wider selection of floor tiles.. & we didn't really like the wall tiles from sin lek.. so we told jason that we would like to get the other tiles from Hafary.. quite paiseh coz sin lek lao ban was there.. but he is really nice.. we decide to get what hubby like for the common toilet.. we selected one of the tiles & get Hafary ppl to recommend the other wall & floor tiles for the toilet.. we decided on above wall tiles for the kitchen.. coz jason told us to get something glossy.. since our living room tiles are matt.. but not sure whether the kitchen tiles will be nice.. coz a bit doesn't match & we didn't know what colour to have for kitchen cabinet.. initially i wanted dark grey for kitchen flooring.. but after seeing the tiles.. hubby & i were afraid that it will be similar to those tiles you see @ the mrt station.. =p anyway all the above are not confirm yet.. we still need to discuss with jason..

okie.. the pics are here! from hafary... this is the initial living room floor tiles that we like from Hafary.. wanted to get something close to white & grey.. we were deciding which tiles for our kitchen backsplash..

i went to both Hafary.. defu & balestier.. i think the range is almost the same.. coz what i like from defu.. i can also find them @ balestier.. but defu has showroom to see how each tiles will look like.. i guess it's better if you want to have a better idea with the mix & match.. although balestier don't have a showroom.. i find balestier's sale person better.. coz i get them to help me with my selection as i have not much clue on mixing & matching.. they will give you suggestion & then you can decide.. hope tt helps..

nope.. jason wasn't ard.. we had a variety of cheap & expensive one.. but we haven't ask jason whether they are within the price he quoted..

me me me!!! my reno starts end sep.. you plan to start your in oct right? if i rem correctly.. haha.. i asked jason about the purchasing of sanitary.. he say he will need to measure the toilet bowl hole first before we can make the purchase.. so have to wait for him to hack the toilet first..
