Hi, Is your house at Holland those "Red Bricks" block? My aunt used to stay there, nice place with go layout... I used to stay in Dover and visit them very often when young. Really missed those days... I like these 2 areas (Holland and Dover)...maybe in 7 years time will move back to the areas...just nice for my son to enter either of the following - JCs, SP and later NUS... I used to walk to SP when staying in Dover...and my elder sister lagi better... ACJC then NUS... Btw... did you get the Eubiq customised solution from Comex too? Actually also want to buy but later thought with this amount can do rewiring for the house liao, then give up the idea... But very nice...maybe will get the stand alone system ($200) for my bedroom as High Class Extension Wire.

Hi Kellogs, With such a big house...if I were you, I will not be too worry of how to design...just let your I.D play around with his ideas and give you a few proposals. This is supposed to be their profession. I don't think you will engage a contractor to do the renovation, right? The I.D will then help you to manage the whole project...only thing is to have the CASH Maybe just set aside a realistics budget...

Looking forward to more photos of your house transformation.... I thick smooth laminate easier to clean although might have easier stretches but those rougher surface one will trip dirt and worst still oil grease...so end up cannot be removed. Anyway since you are not cooking then it should be ok.

The site is indeed very neat for renovation work... So have you discuss with Henry the actual Handover date liao? You may also want to clarify with Henry's on painting work...I was told the price he gave does not include base paint (Sealer or something)

Painting work is very easily to cheat...and sometimes they will tell you the restricted colours and no base paint... I told my contractor that I will buy based paint and he help me applied it since I thought base paint very important especially on toilet ceiling...he has not go into detail with me on this issue but he did tell me frankly that his price he quote me no based paint...anyway I do think so too since he quote me less then 1K for painting. See that most of your reno is delayed for more then a month really worries me man...I told Henry strictly one month as I need to go on overseas assignment again in mid Dec... Keep my finger cross leh...

Very nice furniture...I like the bed frame...if my wife see it she will surely ask me to change to this and she will request to change the skin of frame to Silver... We saw one silver high headboard bed frame in OM but too expensive, end up buying their in-hourse matress that come with free platform bedframe (we change the frame to greyish/silver fabric) sorry just some added comments...Most of your furniture are glass, are they with round edge or shape edge? I suggest you buy those rubber corner bits to put around it especially if you have children at home...

I think you can look for Martin Ong from Chew design I find him quite good...although I did not end up enaging him due to budget... Their price I think quite reasonable if you are talking about a reputable ID firm...as compare to those other ID firm around it in Jurong East area... Cheers.
