Yes, I am attracted to the ambilight but all the comments from friends having ambilight is good...more smoothing for the eyes... Oh, the hall like oven...mmm so far for 32" Philips LCD OK leh... Dun worry that I will regret for buying the TV...I done my research before purchase...

Hi bergkamp, I happened to start reno for my 4A in mid Nov. too. Sama thinking... also bought almost all the stuff liao. Really hope that I can have the space for all these big Cellini sofa set...but cannot fit into my small living room leh... After shopping in many shop, end up buying most of the stuff from Novena -The White, a lot of "Chong" designer pieces but much lower price... For me, I can live with PVC and to be franked, I dun really spend my time in living room, mostly in the bedroom...so is really more for shown...haha. Just my opinion...branded furniture is good to have but I always ask myself, how long can we stick to our taste and theme. I learn from my 2 previous sofa experiences, the first set (full leather) use for 3 years plus...sick of design and give FOC to my close friend, then change to my presently own L-shape fabrics set and just reaching 3 years…now due to the reno and the color of the sofa (brown) cannot match my Black/White/ Grey color scheme so need to change again…lucky this time, my mother willing to take the L-shape set so at least not so “sai yang” with all the “Cong” stuff, I still end up paying 2K plus for - a 3 seater, coffee table and 2 relax chairs wor…really bleeding badly this time…initial budget $40K for reno and furniture, now seem that is over 45K liao. Hi, First of all, I must state that I am biased on Philips TV and I look at design rather then features... I love the curve profile of Philips TV especially with the Ambient Light....notice that most of the LCD/ Plasma all sharp corner profile and true rectangular shape... Yes, Philips is using LG panels; I think is a joint venture development... and most of the Philips model are assembled in China... Actually nowadays more than 80% of the consumer electronics are made in China...even if it may be assembled in Europe doesn't mean that all the other parts are from Europe...the circuit board, chipsets...etc. We should trust the reputation of the brand and the after sales service too... If I not wrong, 7000 series onward all “made in Europe”. Actually I am eyeing on the model 42PFL7409/98 which I think selling $1799 until I see this good deal in Courts for the 42PFL9664H/12 at $1999. Anyway, do you expect a TV really to last you 5 years or more...what do you think will be the next "standard" features or perhaps size for TV? I remember my first LCD brought 3 years ago..."market trend" size 32" and nobody really care about the thickness as long as it is slimmer then a CRT...but today not only the trend on size is 42" but people are going for slimmer design...even LCD cannot satisfactory consumers...must go for "LED" ... never ending story...just watch our pocket and buy according to our budget and liking... Just my humble advice...cheers

Hi, Thanks...I think this shop recently change their name...I think something CASA ... can't recall. Along Genting lane quite a big shop... but frankly I don't dare to comments about the goods yet until I rec it... Actually I don't find their service very good but they are the only shop I approach that can help me custom made a dinning table to bar top height at such low price... just keep my figer cross. This is the design but they will make it height and the glass top customized to my required dimension -155 x 75 and height 1050... As for Silver river...alot of bad comments in this forum on them but I find them Ok leh...Service very good ...anyway I brought 2 TV Console from them and serve by a male SA -name also call Danny... I do not want to drill on the wall to hang my LCD and I don't like the idea of feature wall so this type of console can help me resolve the problem and also hide all the wiring neatly inside the metal casing... Actually want to get from MonXX the same design but much more expensive...

For 7K series, initially I also want to buy and I think is also good choice as compared to other brand...I like the curve design of Philips TV. I cannot remember which model but there is one that is 100HZ and with 4 HDMI input also made in Europe... I think around 1.7K Check Audio House, Mega discount store and go Courts or HV to get them to match your price. If you happen to go Courts (Tampines), look for this sales guy Darren, his product knowledge on philips TV very good...get him to recommend you and match your price... Cheers

Initally wanted to save some money to reuse my L-shape sofa set (brown) and TV Console (white) which is only 2 year plus old only but my CO (Wife) not very happy...say colour not match and design out of date liao...so no choice, everything must go....haha. For furniture that I will reuse will be the double bed, cupboard and study table for my Son's room. Oh yes...I have a Pool Table which double as a dinning table that I will like to let go... size round 1.6 m x 0.8m...very new, I think only use for less than 10 times plus all the accessories (ball, long and short cue, chalk, etc...) Hi, After reading so many of the forumer T-blog, finally decide to start mine.... I am now in LA airport waiting for transit to Mexico, 11 hrs of waiting!! As the flight Mexicana is not a Star Alliance partner...cannot make use of the biness lounge, luckily found a paid lounge (USD 45) with comfortable relax chair and free WIFI access... Trust me...no airport in this world is better than our Changi Airport.... Ok enough of unrelated stuff....here it goes... I decided to do a makeover to my existing 4 room after a 2 months sourcing of a EM unit but unsuccessful due to the overpricing COV lately in Jurong West. (My 4 room is also in Jurong West) I think it is really time for me to do something to our home sweet home after a 10 years stay.
