The water pressure is OK. Actually no need dryer ...With air con turned on and window closed. Clothing hang over night will be dried hahaa ...The next day. This happen to us but we have our roller shutter closed at night.

Fridge wise, I am not sure about brand but try not to get those huge fridge with top and bottom side door opening. Imagine everytime you open the door you draw out alot of cool air and everything you closed the door you pushing in a lot of hot air. This will make the fridge compressor work harder thus consume more electricity. It is better to chose those with more smaller door opening and multi compartment. Your choice here seem to be good. For Air-con, our block has not be upgraded for electrical loading to 40amps so you need to be careful when choosing the Aircon. (ours only 30amps, if I remember correctly) Some of the model of the aircon has compressor with high electrical rating and cannot be installed. Example some model under Mitsubushi Heavy Industrial range. I am using a Starmex system 4. So far so good. But as you know I partition part of my living room so System 4 is sufficent for me. The outdoor unit I think 28,000 btu with fancoil 1x10K and 3x9K . 2 compressor in one unit may not be permitted for a 30amps household. Ceiling casette aircon, I think you need to drop your false ceiling really low to installed one. Feel free to knock on my door this evening if you want to see a house of your similar layout in plan. Not very nicely done up but I think better then the original state of the house. It is like that for reno, I consider experience guy over renovation processes since I done it twice in the last 4 years still have some problem this time round. Just saw your permit pasted on the lift lobby, you only have 1 month for the renovation....can be rushed for the among of work that need to be done. Track your progress with your ID well...dun just take their words too much...can be just lips service. Check the progress frequently and add some pressure on them. Cheers.

It is not easy to find EM unit with pointed arrow shape like ours... Most of the unit in this block is around 148sqm (except for those corner units) as compare to ours 151sqm but the extra 3sqm in the house give a huge challenge in design and taken away valuable space in the 3rd bedroom and the actual dining area. All EM initially came with simple metal handrail, I think your previous owner either hack it off or cement over the metal rail with concrete. Do you intend to remove the entire staircase including the steps or just the handrail wall? 10K just for consultancy work and PE fee very EX wor If it is just for the handrail wall, I am not sure why it is so expensive, since it might just be constructed over the staircase and not structurely joined up with the entire staircase. Get a second opinion from another PE or write in to HDB to appeal or for advice. btw, are you hacking the flooring or overlaying? understand from your previous owner that they are the 1st owner so you can save some cost if you overlay the flooring and use the money to construct your dream staircase... just a suggestion. alternatively, do you consider using wallpaper over the wall, nowadays those bricks printed wallpaper has very good 3D effect and looks like real brick wall. The black chandelier, I bought from Taobao and the stencil design light, I got it from http://www.lightings.com.sg/ But actually if you intend to buy all lighting from Taobao, the stencil design lighting can be found too...much much cheaper.

btw... do think about how you want to layout your funiture along the slanted walls especially the MBR and the living room area. That is my made challenge when I got the house. It is not easy to buy ready made wardore in the MBR and hope you already consider how you want to place your bed.
