See thru your blog with so many peoeple already given their comments...for me...just want to caution you about the HO date committed by Contractor...never tell them you have plenty of time to spare... On Lamintated flooring, you want to get a quote from Kronotex, I know this guy call Wilson...and he should be able to go up to your place to do site measurement and give you a quote...Kronotex is also a German product...

I have been constantly seeing this blog on Ah Soon….no comments about his quote as from the very beginning he is not in my shortlisted contractors. But just some words of caution…he seem to me like those Contractors that cannot pay up his sub-con and material suppliers tats y cannot get the work done up… I had seen a lot of such cases when I was working as contractor for commercial projects… Sub-con are very practical people and most of them are charge at day rate…no money by mid month for the work done, they will end up reducing manpower on site. Material Supplier is the same…CASH is king…and shorter credit term means better price…for those Contractor that cannot pay up by credit term, they will end up not able to receive their materials for projects lor… Sorry again I am not adding fuel to fire…just quote some life examples to share. Hopefully Ah Soon not that type of contractor that I describe… else you will not know when he will 跑路…

I sms Wong just now...but no reply. Guess all contractor are really busy with work in the day...call him again in the evening to try... You shift all trucking and the position of 2 Fan Coil and chemical wash...$700... If I shift one fan coil and just some trucking...maybe around $300 plus...hehee then cheaper then GC...

Actually the idea of getting him to quote on aircon work came to mind but forgotten to ask him on that day...

Not really just the same lump sum discount...but I using MK switch as I not too particular about the switch on/off sound lah...because I cut down some items so the lump discount lesser then $200. Overall I think still quite good price and I like his attitude to explain things to me. Oh yah...hor forgotten to ask him about this work too...how is price good as compare to GC or your contact?

Sorry bro and sister... Super super busy with packing my house as I staying my reno next Monday... You know lah...me renovating existing house... 85% packed liao... Last Sunday recieve a call from housing Agent inform me that there is 1 EM for sale at my "dream block" val $430 and COV around 15K....very tempted to buy...but at last holding back...reason: 1) The unit super wear-out, 4 bedroom all rented out...4 china guy each room and MBR rented to indian family of 3/4...so total 15/16 people staying in the house...with no maintenance at all...can see the oil stain dripping in the kitchen... 2) nothing can be used...so at least must throw in $60k for reno...plus downpayment, COV, agent comms...all in all around 100K...no money... 3) 3rd reason that really make me turn away is the worry of the "past records" of the unit...imagine 16 unknown souls in the same units..if any of them borrow Ah Long money or offended someone...kanna splash paint or lock gate...I will have hard time to track and trace who is the person responsible...even if I go back to the owner also no use, I don't think he knows... sorry no offend to those rented their unit out hor...and I am not against people from China or india hor...just that if house rented and you are not stay there...sure got serious problem later unless you know who you rented out and 100% sure they have "clean records"... 4) of course....the key reason...is my boy and wife say no no... Therefore now stick to Plan A to reno my house lor... Maybe meeting electrician tomorrow afternoon and suppose to meet up with Henry tomorrow too...but he never reply my sms until now leh...maybe later call him...

Bro, Can try Gaincity...I got them to quote me on relocating 1 fan coil, shifting some existing trucking along MBR window and re-run drain pipe in kitchen area. Less than $500 for the job... But if just relocate one fan coil I think should be less than 200...

Why not try Kronotex...it is a good and reputable German brand and the local agent also managing the business well. Even Mediacorp Channel 8 serial also sponsor by them(Laminated flooring) Oh yes...I am ot from Kronotex hor...just that I read about the product thru website and engaging them to do my flooring... Although no Lifetime warrenty but I think 12 or 15 year warrenty..basically I dun like company telling me that their product has lifetime warrenty because I dun believe in such thing... Be careful about the rating of AC3, 4 or 5 offer by brand other then those from Europe... because if the product not from Europe then how these company certify their product locally...have anyone ask them to show you their test certificate? Anyway no offend to other brand user hor...juz want to express my point here...
