Update my reno progress as of yesterday 1) Both toilets and kitchen wall tiles 85% completed, the 15% will be the cementing gaps between the tiles and some corner tiles… 2) Foyer Floor tiles completed…very nice…I like it… Tiler told me will start flooring work for toilets today and he confident that the wet work can be completed by this week… I think plumber will come in next week to help me fix up all those toilet stuff… Make be, Henry will also arrange ceiling work next week…must check with him first. So far…very satis with the progress… hope this will last all the way till HO…

No lah, my toilet door way no need PE ...it really depends on the extend of the service that you use the PE... maybe HDB job, they charge cheaper...for commerical hor...nothing go below 2k... I think my contractor just quoting some example lah...anyway glad to hear bro chinchye got the issue settled... Cheers

Bro Chinchye, Your toilet doorway issue settle liao or not? I suggest you dun change the whole door frame, just rectify it...not worth to spend such money...I check with my contractor he told me around 2K plus just to engage the PE...

Hi Seashell, Glad to know that you finally decided to move on without waiting for that Ah Soon... I think you are really a super helpful person that helping to collate these mess. Look forward...things will only be better tomorrow... but if you stay put or look back...pain, anger and stress are endless. May I suggest that you guys get all those essential work, especially the Wet work, electrical work and perhaps the ceiling work done up first... instant of hacking floor consider using overlaying of laminates flooring so that you can quickly move in... All other carpentry work like feature wall, cabinets, cupboard etc...put on hold first, buy those instant furniture (no need very good quality ones) ...because if one day that Ah Soon really settle his stuff and come back to help you guys finish the work, then you can use what you paid him to do up all the carpentry work nice nice mah... Just my little suggestion...I sincerely hope it will help some of you to plan…

Actually this tile, our whole family also like it...Black and white match our color scheme at the same time the pig really can cheer us up lol... No specific reason...actually kinda regret not have henry do it together...

aircon not done yet this Sat...however some electrical work done done yesterday... The electrical workers...is all the Bangladesh...kinda worry about their workmenship leh... the actual connection to DB time I will insist that some more skillfull workers be around... btw...is it common for electrical work to use india or Bangladesh workers?

Hi welcome to RT... Not sure whether this will work out...he mentioned you can add or remove things that you like...so the 20% paid presume your total sum of reno 40K...will be 8k.... Can you just do 8k of work...perhaps like Capentry work or even just the hacking work... I dun think you should get them to do tiling work if they got attitude problem... then the rest get other contractor to do it...
