  1. What? Not contributing to the nation building? That's already an unfair statement. The govt has changed their strategy of not depending on the locals to procreate. They have outsource it by inviting foreign talent and call them the new citizen. The good old local pink ic holders are already history hahahahhahaa ironic! Having bigger unit doesn't means the procreator will create more. If they create more, then they cannot afford the big unit. hahhahaha so contradicting. End up, they will sell it at high price so they can down grade to smaller unit to feed their children needs. I tink it's a joke and the failure of the govt's plan. I agree, money ain't everything, but here, in this commercialized, selfish and nazi society, without money you better pray you can get out of here(die, migrate, etc etc) earlier to end this chase for money. hahahah Sometimes, I do wish to step aside and watch ppl racing in this money race. but we can't do that bcos everyone is running and we must still love this country. Tired lah!!! Being a Singaporean.
  2. I like that, good idea, leh but I'm over the toy age....so... Seriously...come to think of it.... Actually, 1 room to house whores for married desperate ppl who are sick of their spouse bad skills in bed. 1 room to help fren to keep their mistress or 小白脸 for the desperate married ppl. I'm doing the society a good deed Why can't single enjoy bigger space like the married? Are we not humans? Are we not citizen here? I tot the govt is always trying to create a fair society? Where's the fairness?
  3. Well I'm not quite worried lah! I tink during my living years I still can buy a flat. I'm just buay song of how the govt makes money out of it. Imagine the taxes they collect from it. Ooooo!!!! No wonder Temasek loose so much money effortlessly And still can smile and Anyway, most likely the creation of the pro creators will likely suffer the most Hmmm now 4 rm = 400K maybe 10 yrs later 4 rm = 4 million? Ooooo! Shiok!!! Hahahahhaha
  4. Most of the terms and conditions are not in favor to the customer. How can we protect ourselves from getting con by these ID/contractors? What are our rights? Can we amend the contract to make it a fair contract? Pls advice. Also, what to look out for and do in order to have a peace of your mind with the contractor. What to consider when you look for a ID/Contractor. To start off, my 1st comment is never look for a fren to help you to do your home. Don't expect frenship price, service or priority. I've seen fren trying to rip another fren off, and their service sucks big time. They take their own sweet time to quote you when you are so eager to get hold of the quotes for the reno loan. My recommendation, never use frens.
  5. Hmmmm read from somewhere, the government refuse to put a ceiling to how much a HDB can worth. What if, in future, a 3 room flat cost 500 - 600K? Who can afford public housing? Why isn't the govt doing anything to stop speculator from spiking up all the living cost? Why har?
  6. What I meant is, with the ever increasing public housing, how can 1 single individual with average salary buys anything bigger than 3 room?
  7. Wah lau... Meaning we have to suffer in silence? Sianz man... We have already given up the fact tat we can never live in new flat.... but at least they should give us single ppl our space and dignity. Seriously loh, compared to those married ppl, single are so much more productive at work and we bring so much more economic benefits. Till this day, I still don't see any of the zheng hu lang stand up and fight for single ppl. All pro family... geeez... SAD loh. Rich singles are rare lah, at least i know i'm not. But with the ever increasing cost of living and housing wat's 5k these days can get u?
  8. For singles, we are only allow to purchase flat if: a. You get married. Duh, then why the **** do i want to be single rite? b. You purchase with ur parents c. When you hit 35 which is always so far away..... I just dun understand something. If an average single can only purchase a resale flat with his/her single pay check, how can they ever afford a 4 and above rooms flat by themselves as compared to married ppl who has combined salaries? Why must we condemned to just 3 rooms flat? Why are the HDB flats made so unaffordable to the general public these days when the prices are in 100s of thousands of $ ??? I worked for the government yet I felt single ppl like me are treated like dirt, oddballs or weridos geeeez? We don't get the same perks and treatment as compared to the married? How come har? Are the taxes I paid all these years different from those paid by the married? Can someone please advice this troubled Single individual. Si beh sian!!!! Thanks
  9. What is valuation? How will it help in purchasing a resale flat? How much more or less should I pay at the valuation price? How much does your area around you valuate at? How to get high valuation? I'm 31 this year and I'm planning to get a flat with my mother in Kim Keat Ave. However, some agent told my mother that someone wants to sell their 4 rooms flat at 400k and refuse to do a valuation. What strategy is the selling playing? How much do you think the flat ard my area cost? Pls advice. Thanks
