Wow mickey! so many peeks suddenly! firstly, the swarovski lights are very chio leh! and the lolliipop pink and yellow walls very cheery! bound to cheer u up when u come home after a long day of work! toilet also v nice.. white white clean clean.. can foresee a little green plant somewhere in there but the solo light in the toilet like not very bright eh? the 4 downlights pic dat u showed, the space between the right hand 2, and the space between the left hand 2 like not very equal? the pic of ur round pink living hall, beside the lights which are lit up, are they the previous holes of the down lights? if not, then they seem very close to the lit up lights eh? seriously the swarovski lights... almost like starry starry night... -
Day 34 of reno.. Day 1 of carpentry.. Kitchen cabinets up! Semi dark kitchen cus one of the lights not working.. cabinets looking good.. the pewter laminates not wavy at all from the side view, but the piano white laminates sadly abit wavy.. even though both are 1mm thick.. these are plywood which are more sturdy than compressed wood.. but i wonder why those vertical ones are individual pieces pieced tgt? Master toilet and common toilet's vanity is up too.. Common toilet no solid top to save abit of money.. Realise the drainage hole for common vanity is cut wrongly, hence got extra space beside the pipe.. i wonder how they gonna fix that? remove the whole board or just use laminates to cover up? but xiao qiang very invincible can crawl thru small hole one leh..

TV points poor quality? these are supplied by HDB or newly changed by ur contractor?

if im not wrong, i think the downlight hole can be patched back without removing the entire false ceiling. they just gotta paint back the patched part, and hopefully make it smooth as well so dat it cant be seen.. ive seen a friend's downlight hole patched up, but i can SEE it cus i think she didnt bother abt the cover up.. the one switch switch on all lights hor, i thought this has to be done prior to the false ceiling? but im sure they can also route different lighting points to different switch buttons.. we have 2 of the 4 gang switch for our living and dining area.. im not v sure, but i think urs can still be done.. hurry hurry point out to ur ID so dat they can rectify it soon! -
oh dear! the Happiness staff is really very rude leh! we also having problem with our hob, not from turbo/happiness though. delayed for over a month. about to change brand and model already becus we cant wait also, den miraculously they said the shipment reached singapore.. hopefully this sat when they deliver they wont fly me kite! ahhh, ive seen a similar case from OM as urs.. i also have stuff from OM, but unable to deliver on time as well cus i informed them late, so will have no dining table and coffee table until after i officially move in.. eh.. TV like monitor right? check for dead pixels? white pixels?

Thanks forgotten! looks like we gotta get the 8Mbps one then.. but hor, the link u showed me, only has maxonline with free home line.. dun have cable TV leh.. with cable TV is $41+, and $59+ for 2Mbps and 8Mbps respectively... and, i dun see the free desktop promo leh! where where? Hey ossify, ya we were considering between Home hub pack lite, or Home hub pack... but as to wad forgotten has mentioned, 2Mbps is crawling speed for peak hours... anw, u dun watch much tv, maybe can forgo the cable Tv part.. yup! i saw the activation fees.. i think 1st payment for all these will be about $100.. If u keep the Hubstation, its additional $4 +gst per month after the free 3 months, if u use the normal set top box (not hubstation, cannot record) will be free i think... if u want additional normal set top box ie for ur mbr tv, its $4 +gst per month, and additional $8 +gst per month if u want additional hubstation..

hey limmike, thanks! its a fixed panel, with a glass door, not in the picture i think.. will take full pic when everything's done up nicely, but got a little issue with the glass, but cannot be rectified properly already.. Our KDK fan is A11YS, small at 44inch, but power wind, as experienced from my friend's fan in her living room.. we got it at $165 from Goh Ah Bee in Hougang, 1 month ago we called Hong Liang and they were selling at $160, then when we wanted to buy 1 week ago, they say no stock and upped the price to $200+!

Day 28 and 31 of reno.. Lights on! Downlights on! using a combination of both cool day light and warm lights in the entire house.. Lights arrangement configured by hubby Our plain and simple ceiling fan from KDK in the living room, as well as the downlights in MBR. Looks abit off centre now, but there'll be a wardrobe on the right side.. Last look of the spacious spacious MBR...

starhub also got free phone line.. which i think quite redundant la.. but den again its free.. i hope this new year's day got promo!! we need to sign up soon.. but still fretting over the 2Mbps or 8Mbps issue..
-
i2value already $48 on its own.. so your broadband about $22 for 3Mbps.. kinda similar to the Maxonline plan from starhub.. cant remember the exact price but its in the range of $18-$25 iirc. Simon, wad kinda freebies ar? from singtel or starhub? i dun see any freebies from starhub now leh..
-
hey ossify, since you dun watch much tv, i guess u wont be subscribing to cable/mio? for internet wise, maybe go chit chat with ur neighbours and see what they using.. see if they have any complaints.. my next block neighbour uses starhub maxonline and they are ok with the speed, dats why we're choosing starhub.. but still unsure 2mbps or 8mbps...
-
We are considering to get our cable plan from Starhub, cus we will want to go for Starhub cable tv, so makes more sense to take all in 1 package... Now, Starhub has 2 kinds of plans for cable maxonline, - 2Mbps with cable TV and home line @ $41 - 8Mbps with cable TV and home line @ $59 only 2 of us surfing, we do surf alot but not so much downloads.. but I cannot tahan slowness while surfing.. The stupid thing about this is, if we sign up for the 2Mbps plan now, within the next 24 months, we cannot upgrade to the 8Mbps plan, even if we're willing to pay! So, 2Mbps or 8Mbps?? anybody using 2Mbps and find it v slow?
-
yup our toilet oso da rn cramped inside.. cannot stand at the WC and open the door, funny the doors came from HDB and they actually approved the design.. well, if i could, i'd change the door to glass door, but with all the troublesome wall tiles and space constraint
-
i think ur bedroom ceiling height looks ok, maybe more of the living area at the tv console there... maybe its becus of the bigger pendant light, dats why the ceiling looks lower... btw, ur white sofa looks good! leather or PU leather? u got from S&C? for how much eh? do let me know how u maintain the white k..
