ive lost track of where i stopped.. too busy cleaning up and too tired after 10-12 hours in the new home! lemme continue from where i stopped.. Day 39 of reno.. Living room tv feature and console is up... didnt look good with the protective cover on... Kitchen cabinet doors up! Bedroom parquet floors polished to matt finish... Smell is horrible.... had to hold my breath to risk these shots... Common toilet vanity hole fixed... i guess no other way than to do this since the pipe already connected...

oh yah yah, now i remem ur pic.. heee... my vanity and basin in the toilet though... u got a ventilation fan installed in your toilet? else must put lotsa thirsty hippo...

my 16k and 9k unit with 1 compressor inverter from toshiba cost me 2.3k.. free 5 yrs warranty cus of the expo promo a few months back.. so u just add in the cost for one more big unit for the living room... anyway i'd advise u to also get ur quotes separately at the expo, cus some salesman will wanna chop u even $80 more they also happy... anw, i got mine from a salesman Victor from GC marina sq branch.. surprisingly, dat branch gave me the lowest quote, even lower than GC amk...

looks like we do have similar tastes! so u also have a "passageway" to the toilet?

hey chrysalis, u hacked 2 rooms into 1 mbr? we got a 16k BTU for our mbr and 9k btu for common bedroom, ours is toshiba inverter... as for your living room, if you're intending to blow ur dining area as well, i think maybe 18k not enough leh.. the last time we were recommended 21k by the salesman who sold us ours... but we didnt get a unit for the living room.. if you regularly turn on the aircon, maybe 5 out of 7 days a week, its better to go for inverter.. as for the brand, i guess different salesman promote different brands.. hubby did his research and decided to go for toshiba... btw, different branches of GC, different salesman, will give you different pricing, even if its the exact same brand and same configuation... so, go walk walk and ask ask abit..

nice leh CJ.. the bulb inside is warm light or its becus of the salt rock? i read somewhere this salt rock supposed to have some kinda effect.. but forgot wad liao... the real salt rock is actually very rare... but i also tempted leh, cus ur room looks cozy with that.. where did u get in JB ah?

yes they r drawers.. can open, but not very deep, cus cant open fully also... stupid right.... all the hage-dee-bee fault... and my bidet also squeezed between WC and the vanity... at above 15cm off the ground.. cus the tap opening is there.. if shift it up for easy opening, need to run pipe, den i scared next time easier to leak... so now everytime open the bidet, must stretch all the way down..... sianz 1/2... then on right side SO MUCH space for ONE toilet roll holder..

wahahhahaha! contractor got so on to take pic with us one meh? can see clearly ah? from my lousy monitor here i cant see the face leh.. only see the colour...

continued.. Day 38 of reno... Our pseudo walk-in-wardrobe.... now the bedroom becomes smaller... My side and hubby's side.. Sliding doors will be up soon.. Also got the plumber (?!) to help us drill the ikea clothes hanger and 2 knobs into the wall for us.. hee. We designed the wardrobe placement as well as the inner compartments.. Well, i think no one noes better than ourselves what we need for our own clothes and barangs.. Master toilet with mirror and tap not up yet.. squeeeeeeeezy leh! Lucky hubby can still stand straight right under the rain shower.. Jus slightly 8cm above his head...

If ur toilet bowl is sitting in the middle of this space, then maybe no need, cus now its all empty space, dats why it sticks out. and for me, we specifically told the tiler to tile in alignment.... so i will notice.... but if ure rushing, and can live with this not very big mistake, den dun redo lor..

Day 38 of reno... Living room looks like a warzone.. And the other is a preview of our normal TV console.. should have realised something was wrong here... Common room wardrobe.. Mirror not installed yet.. Common toilet.. After installing the fittings, the common toilet actually looks bigger than the master toilet!

oooh, oke.. but anyways this one in the shower has been changed to fit in the centre.. the foam like material is actually some kinda silicon.. but our glass panel in the living room still on one side of the U-channel, cus too late to make such a big rectification..

wow! everything round round de.. i realise ur 2 arm chairs are facing the mickey tv feature wall which i assume got tv? then the other big round space with the lollipop pink wall, wads dat for? sofa and another tv?

thanks zhiz! u did the customized one or took the standard one? the lowest shelf, u determine the height (cus it seemed abit too high, but then if u have a big item to put below the first shelf also ideal), or they determined it for u? the number of shelves also standard or can choose one? i called the auntie yesterday, but forgot to ask the number of shelves and height determination... so ask u... oh, and i realised u took the white plywood... why not the normal plywood ar?

Day 37 of reno.. This is the base of our shower screen in the master toilet, no doors, cus too squeezy. Is it common to have the glass panel to one side of the U-channel? Friend says it should be in the centre. Logically it should be to me, a layman... So we got contractor to rectify this.. but after dat we saw shopping centres and some offices, also glass panel to one side of the U-channel..

i still love ur grey sofa against the teal shade wall.. so refreshing! btw, sth to ask u... ur downlights in ur dining area, is there a reason why the right side downlights are closer to the wall, and the left side ones are further from the wall?

Hey ossify, for ur 2nd pic in this post, i thought dat maybe u could have aligned the floor tiles with the wall tiles.. cus they looked to be of the same size, or was the floor tile continued from left and right dats why cannot align? but anyways, ur progress is good toooo!
