  1. i like the potted plants! where u get it from? and how much? maybe i can consider putting at the bottom of my glass door.. hehhh..
  2. actually no leh, my old old house oso use wallpaper, no wet area anywhere near.. but also got abit of insects.. wah thankew for the tip! i also scared the hip will hit the tap leh... so i think i'll turn it inwards most of the time!
  3. hey danny, sorry to disappoint u.. i like the wallpaper alot, but hubby dun like.. cus last time old house use wallpaper, den dunno why, after some time there'll be tiny insects crawling out from underneath (not scaring u ah!) so we wont be getting it from u... hehee yah, i think the shower set is the hot favourite from GR Link.. lingbzer also using same set!
  4. actually, i think the wavyness from the laminates is only very visible if ure using 0.8mm and a very big piece of laminate.... like 8ft by 4ft... if its 1mm on cabinet drawers/doors, shldnt be very obvious... cus the skill comes in when u have to stick evenly on a larger piece of area....
  5. ooh, then hows the progress now? only abt 3 weeks bef cny, u gotta take rectifications into consideration too.. ours took about 1.5 weeks for rectification.. eh, im not sure abt the upgrade price. we chose Legrand over Clipsal cus when u switch on/off, Legrand seems softer, but den again personal pref. Our switches all provided by electrician, no additional cost as long as we dun get too special/high end ones.. but ive got some quotes which we reccee bef our electrician says he will cover all.. 1 gang 2 way switch $2.50 2 gang 2 way switch $4.50 3 gang 2 way switch $6.50 4 gang 2 way switch $9.50 Heater $11.50 single power socket $4 double power socket $7.50 i think u can find more pricelist from ossify's tblog, but his is not the normal white Legrand. u can also call up choo chiang for their prices, then decide if u wana get on ur own.
  6. helo fftw! care to share the price on the Panasonic Steam oven that u got? im also interested in the multi functions.. just like Sharp's one too leh..
  7. hmm, feature wall keep having bubbles issit becus they never apply sealant or sth? ur official move in date is bef cny, but u wont have anybody coming over for cny visits right? get Yeak to look at the painting defects lor, den make sure you dun see it after rectifying.. i also lived with a little paint defect, cus the galaxy grey ah, cannot just paint a small portion, else will become darker colour than the rest, but since its near the switch, and sofa will cover, we jus let it go lo.. but bubbles i think gotta redo... i also very sian when i saw so many things to rectify at my place, but after that will be better, cus its all worth it.. so cheer up girl!
  8. jus asked hubby abt the rain shower, confirm got hot water.. from the same pipe mah... ahh, go to the assigned shop is usually more ex leh! cus the ID can earn commission from the shop ma... my switches and sockets are from legrand, the normal white millia series. simple and nice enough for us
  9. should have pre-empted u to get more sleep before getting ur keys... cus after this, most of the time will be spent thinking and thinking about the colours, the patterns, the designs and hoping everything works out fine as you've chosen! heh.. welcome to the RT journey..
  10. it does look big! and i dun remem any 9-yr old flats around kovan area... and i see the red blocks.. hmmm.. and u have almost full height windows in the room! condo?
  11. wahhaa.. so cute leh! u kitty fan? we just use the foc laundry basket dat came with the washer.. btw, its better to start cleanin up before u HO, cus dats when u see the minute defects.. jus my thoughts and tiny tip..
  12. hee ninja, i forgot to test whether the big shower head have warm water or not, but should have right??! else if really only cold water hor, really like RAIN shower leh! yea, we recce quite a few toilet fittings shops before we decided on getting most of our stuff from GR Link..
  13. interesting.. glass within glass.. no roller blinds for the outside door?
  14. Hey SGK, yea i noe what kinda hobs u mean. I have a Cuizino one, one of the smallest cheaper hobs i've found. cut out size 660cm x 330cm i think. not sure if its good though. havent start using. the better ones like Fujioh and Rinnai all quite big in size. and yup, the spacing between the stoves very impt.. if too near each other, cant use the middle one also no point. hope u find a suitable sized one!
  15. welcome! ur place is huge! how big is the floor area?
  16. cny coming.. tell him no good to owe ppl money over cny..
  17. hey SGK.. i love ur 3D design pics! cant wait to see the actual transformation.. however, ID tell u to get a small hob hor, he's not the one using it mah, ure the one.. although u might not cook as much, but minimum 2 stoves will be better i think.. jus my thoughts!
  18. thanks ninja! we paid $370 for the rainshower system, from GR Link at jalan besar.. its 3 in 1, big shower head, small shower head and rotatable tap so that we wont accidentally bang our hips against the protruding tap.
  19. have have.. coming up soon.. now got lotsa pics to sort..
  20. glad u found these pics.. we always have more feelings for the first home dont we? cus we spend more time and effort in beautifying our 1st home..
  21. Day 42 of reno continued... Deliverymen came... F&P fridge and Toshiba washer from Harvey... quite on time.. Queen bed from Serta.. on time too, right after the HN guys left.. room looks so much smaller now... Took a break and sat at the living room windows.. saw pretty pretty kites flying high high.. maybe i should go get one too!
  22. Day 42 of reno.. Some delivery.. some rectifications.. major cleanup.. living room and dining area.. the black laminates accumulated some dust just after an hour! Our barangs in the common bedroom which we moved over here with the help of a kind friend and his van.. more to be filled up.. Our master bedroom... initially when we thought of the design to place the 8.5ft wardrobe there, we calculated and calculated, even with a queen sized bed, we wouldnt be able to fit in 2 bed side tables.. at most 1.. but apparently hage-dee-bee's floor plan is a tad screwed, so yay for us, we had space of 59cm on each side to put side tables!
  23. hey sweetlittlethings.. i agree with kopi, ur house is in a very good condition! or at least from the pictures, and comparing to many many of the other EMs that are around RT and some dat we've seen ourselves.. and good thing is ur FS and ex-owner's FS seems abt the same, so u no need to make too much changes.. and the storage space!!! i envy u man.. so u doin how much of a reno to ur place? much of hacking or just changing minimal stuffs?
  24. hee cus we got our keys earlier ma.. yup hubby "officially" moving in tmr alr... but we'll only be stayin in after our wedding at the end of this month.. thanks mickey! urs also gonna HO soooooon!
