Moderator, Can wood specialist companies market their serivces on this forum? I seem to see Mr Wood Varnish appearing in all different forums marketing their services. I hope no offence is taken by my remark but it doesn't seem ethical to me that someone can market its own services on this forum. Also, can anyone share their experience working with Mr Wood Varnish, other than So Confused who appears to be part of the marketing team of Mr Wood Varnish? Happy to hear your experience other than from Mr Wood Varnish himself!! Like all other genuine customers, I don't want to be conned!

I've seen a similar marble coffee table at X'tra Living with the same base (it's not egg-shaped but round). If you have an expendable budget, you can consider X'tra Living at Park Mall. Air Division at Wilkie Road also carries a similar marble top (but if I recall correctly it was a square shape). Hope this helps

Hi, does anyone know which are the best places to source for modern or retro table or floor lamps. I know Lorgans carries some lighting but what I'm looking for is a table/floor lamp with a ball stem (that is the stem is made out of coloured or clear balls)?

Hi 2 of my friends have used Fortune Wood and Construction for renovation works for their homes (both landed property). The carpentry work done by them is very good - they use good quality veneers and the finishing is a lot better than other ID works I've seen in other places. however I think they might a bit pricy. My friend did all her kitchen cabinets for approx 17k (although I must say it was a lot of cabinets). She was very satisfied with their work as they were very responsive and enthusiastic. Thinking of using them for my ID works for my new place as well so I'm going to meet up with them next week. Will update on how it turns out.
