  1. Ivy, I am not surprised by your respond. If you read my post from doremon's point. I am asking her to do the acid test herself since she is not looking at engaging a FSM or a consultant to fengshui her house. If you wish to carry on picking on me, so be it. I will not take it to heart, forumers have eyes to read. Let them decide for themselves. Thank you.
  2. Hi Doremon, The facing and seating of a house or a building usually greatly depends on what you have in the area and what other landforms are around. It might not be necessarily true that window which the sun shines in from is the facing of the house. It could also be the corridor that you have outside your door that might be your facing. It all has to depend on what you are looking at. I would say, if you are looking at doing an acid test on a new flat, then you have take note of the monthly flying stars when you first move in. Take note of the possible things that might happen, and take precautions. If the things really happen and you are able to predict it months ahead, then the seating and facing of the house SHOULD BE CORRECT. Hope this helps. Thank you.
  3. Hi Doremon2009, From your kitchen floorplan, I would recommend that you micro into the kitchen, and determine the location of your stove on a micro scale. If the stove is in the east sector of the kitchen as you mentioned, then the layout is fine. Thank you.
  4. Hi Butoot, Probably for a start you might want to clear your house of cluttered areas. Dirty houses will definitely not bring about good health, right? After that maybe you can think of getting a Fengshui Consultant to analyse your birthdata, and to fengshui your house. Immediate effects might not be striking 4D or TOTO, but home relationships, and health problems would definitely be improved. Hope this helps. THank you.
  5. Ivy, I don't think its necessary for me to clone another user just for the sake of replying to your posts. Thank you.
  6. Hi Jc77, To a certain extend, colours can be used to fengshui a house. For example, if there's a flying star 3 in your house, and it causes you to constantly quarrel with your spouse, ask a fengshui consultant or master and they most likely will ask you to place a red object, like a carpet, or even if need be, you can paint the wall in that sector red. So colour actually does play a certain part in Fengshui, just depends on which school of thought you are looking at it. Furnishing Elements I assume you are referring to the elements that the furnitures are made. I would say that this would not be a big problem. Even if you place a piece of glass on the steel stands, it would not change the element of the table from metal to earth. Lastly, everyone's bazi and kua number are different and are derieved based on their birthdatas. So when 1 person connects with the QI of the house, the QI in the house would be different. Therefore Bazi does affect your house fengshui, because it can dictate which room you should sleep, which direction your bedhead should face etc. Hope this answers your questions. Thank you.
  7. Hi Ongkaku, The location the water exits your house will play a part in your house water theory for theories like the 八宫黄泉水、八杀黄泉水, it will indicate where the water SHOULD NOT leave the house. This would require a proper reading to be taken. And I realised that you indicated that your house is facing exact South, but yet you indicated the mountain is S2 which is 子。 Because at South, the mountain is 午 and not 子。 There might be some errors in your facing readings. I would advise you to get a Fengshui Consultant to take a proper audit for your house before you actually do anything in terms of renovation. Hope this helps. Thank you.
  8. Hi TimTams, I would recommend you to place the stove at the West side of the kitchen which happens to be along the wall that you want to position a new stove, but further away from the sink. If you where to place the stove at the existing position of the sink, then I would advise you not to knock down the wall for a folding door. The facing of stove should not face the kitchen door. Hope this helps.
  9. Hi TimTams, If your compass direction is correct, then putting the stove in the NW sector would not be ideal for you. NW is the location of Heaven's Gate. My advise to you would be to avoid putting the stove in the NW sector of your house. If you MUST place the Stove there, then I would advise you to change it to an induction cooker. It would be best if you get the correct facing and seating of your house before you place the stove because the most important thing about the kitchen would be the positioning of the stove. Another question would be why do you need so many doors in the kitchen? The location of the Washing Machine is fine.
  10. Hi Satinchris, Not totally true to say that all FS masters give computer printouts, but at least they should have done some work before coming down to your place. From the birthdates given, he can compute your personal Kua Number which will help him identify 4 good and 4 bad directions/sectors in the house. This is based on the 8 mansion theory. Therefore these sectors in your house are fixed once he has the seating of your house. How long a Fengshui Master spends in your house does not really matter because some of them will collect data and present it to their clients in a powerpoint or at least in the form of a report. Some will just come down, do the bazi of the client on the spot, advise him what is required in the house without proper documentations. Hope this helps. Thank you.
  11. Hi Satinchris, Fengshui audits have always been accompanied by Bazi or Zi Wei Readings of the occupants in the house. If a so called Fengshui MASTER knows nothing about DESTINY ANALYSIS, then how can he still be known as a MASTER? If you ask me, 388 just for Fengshui Audit with no Bazi reading is way too expensive... you should have just given him a $88 ang pow for coming down to show his face... I assume he didnt even give you a computer print out of the floorplan right? He should have just came down and drawn on the piece of floorplan you provided him. Never do any homework or research before coming also. For your case, I think there's not much you can do now since you have already paid him. My advise to all of you out there who are looking at engaging the services of FENGSHUI MASTERS to do FENGSHUI AUDITS in future should always get the person to list down what kind of things he will be providing you. If you do not see any forms of destiny analysis, then you should consider NOT ENGAGING the "MASTER". Hope this helps. Thank you.
  12. Hi Rasp, Just a suggestions of what you might want to do. Why not increase the dropdown area till it covers the king size bed. In this way, you won't have a feeling of being COMPRESSED while walking around the room and yet you wont be sleeping under a beam that looks like it is cutting your bed into half. This was how 1 of my clients did it to resolve this problem. I saw it when I went to do a overall check on their fengshui layout, and it looks fine to me. Just a piece of advice. You can consider suggesting that to your Interior Designer.
  13. Hi Dean, Thank you for your consideration to engage me as a Fengshui Consultant. If you need an Interior Designer, I do have contacts that you might want to get from me thru PM. Thank you.
  14. Hi Rasp, I would suggest that you sleep away from the dropdown area and have the bed head against the wall, either on the right or the left. But if you are sleeping under the drop down, I would suggest that you keep the bed entirely underneath the drop down portion, do not have the head in the drop down and the legs in the other portion. From past experiences with clients who do this, the occupant in the room sleeping under the beam would have trouble sleeping. This is a point to take note when you are placing your bed. Thank you.
  15. Hi Bpheng, I think if you are looking at worship of these 3 figurines, you most probably have to, but if its for display and not on the altar, then i dont think there's a need to have such a ceremony. Thank you.
  16. Hi Dean, It seems like your stove is just beside your kitchen sink. Is that the current location of the stove? Are you going to discard the current stove and put it closer to the entrance of the kitchen door? It should not be a problem to reconstruct a 8ft tall cabinet all the way from the floor up to the ceiling BUT then again, my advise is only based on the picture that you have posted and not on proper on site surveyance. Please take my advice as a general guide as there's no proper readings of the house facing and seating. Hope this helps.
  17. Hi Homemaster, This has nothing to do with Fengshui BUT I always tot designers would design the dryer mounted on a rack above the washer. Thank you. Felix WOng felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  18. Hello Ivy, Thanks for your reply and I am very sure that you are entitled to your own opinion... I am here to provide advice, and again, its only advice and I will leave them to the individual forumers , whether or not to take up this advise and they are of course free to engage other Feng Shui Masters to go into more details. I sincerely wish you good health, more wealth, and a successful life... Thank you. Felix Wong. felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  19. Hi Dean, You would need a compass or a device that is able to tell you the magnetic north. That would determine the sector your kitchen is in and where your stove should or should not be. Thank you. Felix Wong. felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  20. Hi Shingirl, It depends on the layout of your house. If it is too close, a way that I would always recommend my clients would be to create a L shaped kitchen cabinet so that I can creat more space between the sink and the stove. Do make sure that the stove is not facing the kitchen door and not in the North West location of the kitchen. Hope this helps. Thank you. Felix Wong felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  21. Ivy, Advice for you before I leave, maybe you would live a better life if you could just put down and move on. Its how you mentally prepare yourself rather than what you place in your house. And I have been practising for almost 7 yrs. Only thing is that I have not been to this forum. I wish you good luck. Thank you. Felix Wong felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  22. Confirm find YLT better than find GPP...
  23. Hi Derry, There are hundreds of different water theories in fengshui, are we talking about any one of them in particular? Anyway Ms Ivy has been coming at my posts ever since I told her off that being young, doesnt mean I'm inexperienced in of the other threads in this forum. Anyway, I think I better leave her alone. The reason why water theories are deem inaccurate are because most water theories usually only provide a direction where water SHOULD NOT exit and does not tell you where the water is suppose to enter from. Usually a few water theories are used together to supplement and check the reliability of the other theories used. But the far most importance when looking at water theories, 第一看水先看来,驳杂不须裁。 If the water is inauspicious, there wouldnt even be a need to tap the water. There's especially true for alot of HDB flats in Singapore because you cannot change your facing of your door. So if the water deems to be inauspicious, dont go and tap the inauspicious water. Like what people always say, KIANG JIU HO, MAI GEY KIANG... I didnt ask anyone in this forum to tap water from their virtual water, I merely, 1. Recommended where to buy a water feature, 2. Recommend that the water feature to be turned off during the night time, Anyway, to answer your last question, the chinese phase does sound familiar, but i think she meant, Thank you. 24. Hi Ivy, If you insist that I'm superficial and out of text, then be it. I would like to stop arguing with a woman that has been ditched and blames the FSM that so happen to Fengshui her house maybe a few weeks before. If you dont mind, maybe you can go and read up on different types of water theories like the 三合水法、八杀黄泉水法、etc etc. Thank you. Felix Wong. felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
  25. Hi Ivy, You are right. Rooms dont necessarily have auspicious mountains stars, but I would suggest that it would be better not to have too much movements in the rooms in terms of vibrations so tat you dont compromise your health. Hope this clarifies. Thank you. Felix Wong felix.wong@deArtofLiving.com
