Poll For Cov Paid (2009)
titanax replied to cacabi111's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
yes! my fren juz bought a unit @ bishan8 too @$1.1m seller broke even - i don't get it, great location, just across the mrt & junction8. i assumed the seller would be making a killing considering the factors..what gives?! -
i duno ossify personally & i cannot comment on his "comments"...contractor to contractor its between you two. mine, however are out of genuine curiosity...so cut me some slack
-
of that...i have no doubt & there's no need to talk about my contractor, he's not involved - yet! pls chill mr TS, this is not a flaming session , the idea of posting on this forum is to share & ask questions correct? but if it is not viewed constructively, then what is the purpose?
-
noted i was only asking, since this is a domain where you are the professional, & watching your updates is learning experience for us all.

@samgalz: i like your wood patten laminates! i've always been a sucker for wood-pattern laminates that give the warm & timeless look
-
the piping appears to be done cleanly & nicely, but that wall is a real challenge for any contractor - looks like you need a long extended rainshow to make up for the wall

AFAIC, GC offers one of bests deal where A/C is concerned with extended warranty. I've yet to find anther company that offers something as good. There is 1 other company though, but the warranty is not 3rd party but from them, I'm not comfortable with this deal, but to each its own. As for home appliances - MDC, Parisilk, Everjoint & GAB are still my favorites, personally I wouldn't even bother with the rest. But if you're comfortable with buying earlier models, don't always need the latest & greatest, then Audio House is a gold mine too.

have you tried to look at this from another angle? does the FSM finding in any way impact the quality of life (QoL) in SG? Do you think you QoL would be like this if you were somewhere else? eg: Canada or New Zealand?

13/7 last post...getting a bit quiet in the house of Neo...

wow 1 week...i'm sure jaskel is up to the task, but it really cuts down the "rectification buffer" if any right...i would like to keep 10 - 20% of the completion time for rectification purpose so it does not overrun the HO date
-
very nice design ossify, "splash-factor" looks very rather high though

yea she's quite profound that way bon jovi? i pegged you for backstreet boys kinda guy...

i don't understand ppl who want the cake & eat it too...i find it very selfish that they expect the agents to act in their best interest, but not the other way around. its not realistic to expect the agent to use his own $$ for ad placement & spend time getting ppl to view the apt when he does not know if his comm is secure. i don't blame them for trying to securing their comm. on the other hand the contract self-renewing after 3 mths expiry is also total crap, this type of caveats are also unethical because it's in the fine print & most agents wouldn't bother to explain it unless you read it yourself & most of the time you only attempt to read it when something goes wrong!

ya cleaning can be a real PITA, but its a small price to pay for that space...
-
wow, enuff said then! no friggin way we're getting rugs for our place...i can't imagine steam vacuum-ing EVERY week, i can't even imagine steam vacuum-ing EVER, i can't even remotely imagine just VACUUM-ING period!

neither of us cooks on weekdays too, its too tiring to do so after work, thats why we enjoy cooking on the weekends. we both enjoy the AFC channel & its nice to be able cook up new meals, thats why i'm very particular about a practical kitchen this time round. besides preparing a nice meal together is also another way of bonding and spending quality time.

thanks for the condolences, she had a good life but no, not getting one anytime soon...currently focusing on "home-building" project, very nice to see other dream materialize, soon mine will begin

cat & dogs fighting is what you see in the cartoons, if the dog doesn't bother the cat then its fine. dogs chase anything that runs, & cats love to run - if you put them in a room together over time sian of 1 another there's nothing to chase. also we got them when they were still young so only know how to play, duno how to chase some good memories though, my dog passed away a year ago.

actually it is quite random, a tudung clad malay lady came unannounced to our place to check for mozzie breeding spots, then i heard her scream in the kitchen & found out my wife that she is afraid of my cat! she scream like that, i think my cat more scared! anyways she mentioned that the tray for the dish-rack is also a breeding ground & advised us to pour the water out frequently. she did not check my MBR toilet, i think she wanted to leave in a hurry...i wonder how she would have reacted if my dog was there too

Some Help With Air Con Service/repair/maintenance Needed
titanax replied to clarencelu's topic in Electronics & Electricals
our LG was compressor was also rattling before we asked someone to look at it. You can try COOLSERVE, they come every qtr to maintain our a/c. good service & they most importantly they arrive on time & not make last minute cancellation like the previous company we engaged. COOLSERVE may not be the cheapest but at least they are professional. -
this is a nice wooden chopping board sold at RAZORSHARP, the walnut looks really warm & is definitely a talking piece in the kitchen. its definitely worth a look for folks who like the woody feel & it d'amn sexy with the knives too btw this is a JOHN BOOS cutting block, sexy stuff. i can't cook like gordon ramsay but at least i can swear like him!

i'm not too sure abt the recent models of samsung, but i'm very disappointed in the speaker system of my current series5, 1 word its CRAP! i was more concerned in the video quality, i didn't think to test the audio when i got it, the viera & bravia sound way better though. so now i listen from my amp to front speakers instead of the TV itself, but no complaints now coz it sounds great on HD 5.1
