  2. btw did you know Canberra Pri is one of "MOE's First Five FutureSchools@Singapore"; as an "old boy" its really amazing to see how far they have come from zinc roofed 1 level buildings, where chicken & rabbits run free near the "animals corner"..ahh memories anyways...its a good call to get that area for your kids or if you decide to ever sell it, make sure you factor this in "very close to a "Future" school"
  3. hi there, i really like your flooring. Wide planks with grooves, stands out from the other run of the mill laminates. Kronotex is one of the brands we shortlisted too. Looks really good

  11. reply from opennet csr to me, it might be relevant to you too: Dear Sir, We apologise for the delayed response. We understand from the initial email that you live in a HDB flat, and for HDB flats, generally 1 Fibre Termination point is sufficient. This is because when the services from the Retail Service Providers (RSPs) like Singtel, Starhub and PacificNet have been rolled out and you make a subscription tp the services, the RSPs will provide you with a Network Termination Equipment (NTE) which has 4 outputs. From these 4 outputs, 1 output can be used for the Broadband Internet services and the other 3 outputs can be connected to all your televisions in the house, regardless of their location, should you want to subscribe to the TV services. Hence, it is not required for you to install additional points in each room. The patch panel will only be needed if you would like to have all the services in your house rendered from just 1 point in the house, where all your cable connections are located. As to where the patch panel is terminated, it is up to the individual home owner to decide the location. For a typical HDB installation, the cables will be extended from the Fibre Distribution Point which will be located near the electrical riser outside your unit. Our contractors will then drill about a 1cm hole near your main door to insert the cables and after which, they will lay the cables towards your TV point. Thus, based on the set of guidelines that we have sent you earlier, it would be best for you to consult your own contractors as to how they can go about about preparing for the installation in future. Should you have any further enquiries, please do not hesitate to contact our hotline at 65634273. Regards OpenNet Customer Care Team
  12. not really, we bought a starmex sys 4 from the expo, it was a $200 saving compared to getting it from the imm showroom & comparing it to Aron's price, i top up $200 more for the 5yrs extended warranty. Thats a good deal in my books.

  16. my personal representation of down-lights and other hanging lights are for setting the mood or ambiance - so you should go easy on the luminance, which should be fine for day to day activity, if you're gona be reading then you should get a good reading lamp instead of turning up the lum of the entire room like a football stadium!
