Wahahaa I thought of that but better don't lah. Wait cannot meet her standards how?
-
Wah sounds bad! Better do some checks... Haha, your ah lau's more interested in golf for now. Should have paid the 6% for Ikea to assemble the shelves for you.
-
Oh i see! Really hope things can get settled on your side fast! My end still got some work to be done for my wardrobe as the bar appears too filmsy to support all my clothes. Asking my contractor add some rod support at the middle.
-
Me got boxes of stuff and books to unpack. I used to stay on my own in a 3-room flat hence more barang! Hmmm, seems like you're busy these few days? Noticed you're not at home too cos no lights.

You need less than a week to get approval, longer if hacking requires a PE. I think he should reapply for you again with HDB, can't be waiting like that...

They have delivered yesterday. Now it's my turn to play lego! Earlier in my bedroom I saw there's one area about 20cm long got a small gap between the parquet and the skirting. Never noticed it before. Wonder if it was caused by the earthquake?! Yes yes, will be inviting your ah lau and you over sometime soon! Let him see see how Tuababy is like!... wahahaa...! But just need to settle things around first ah, so will let you know again hor.

Yeah, tua is here! Call them during office hours later. As long as it is covered in contract and the damage is tangible, basically meaning they can assess and come up with a monetary value, they will compensate. I was an AIG/ AIA agent last time. We're settling down gradually... too many things here and there to do. Earlier only just fixed up my BB's dresser with the drawers. Gonna do up my bookshelves in the next few days. (all from Ikea) Still things to unpack and sort out ah...

Hi everyone! Wah I'm been busy for the past days and it seems like it has been so happening around here! Hey Newnyew, your bathroom and faucet looks good! How I wish we got the budget to do up our bathrooms too but... Yesterday the earthquake also affected my block. My wife was at home and she felt the place moving left and right. At first she thought she was feeling giddy as she was unwell but the news on TV confirmed the earthquake. Kinda scary as we're on the top floor. But things doesn't rattle or shake like those flats reported in the news. Perhaps the newer flats have better insulation against earthquakes. Guess we all have to live with it due to the proximity of Singapore to the earthquake belts. How is your parquet flooring? Can fix?

Bro, I suggest you inform your contractor that you have checked with HDB directly and they haven't received the application. It's a very simple process. Ask them to reapply in that case. Don't let your contractor play you out and delay your renovations any further.

Hmmm... this Friday? What time? We're also very busy hence posting less these few days. Much more unpacking to do!
-
Elane and hubby tao leh, always see you both but never look at our direction one. Wanna wave at you all also not use.
-
It took about a week only. When did you apply for your permit?
-
Welcome Jessy! You've really got a regular rectangular shaped flat! That's good for renovations and furnishings, not to mention no wastage of actual liveable space unlike some odd-shaped design flats. My kitchen is of high-gloss maroon colour cabinets with silver coloured trimmings and black galaxy granite top. Maybe you wanna take a look to get some ideas.

Hi there... welcome and congrats on starting your t-Blog! Will look forward to following your progress!

Wahahaaha, this tuababy ain't as cute as those real babies! Should be some kinda shock for people to see a TUABaby running around in undies! Muahahahaa!

Aiyo, cannot ah! Wait My neighbours in the opposite block 438A see how?
-
Wah you wanna bring your ah lau to see me?! See the TUAbaby! Must buy admission tickets, wahahaha..! But I give you complimentary tickets ah. Yes I was thinking of asking for that, to get them to do some other carpentry works for us as compensation cos replacing all those scratched laminates are very troublesome for us too.

hey folks, I'm sure Newnyew will be fine! She's one joyful and lively soul! :dancingqueen::dancingqueen: :dancingqueen::dancingqueen: Newnyew™ :dancingqueen::dancingqueen: :dancingqueen::dancingqueen:

Wahahaaha... maybe cos your flat is bigger due to 2 levels? I installed a system 1 StarMex with 18,000 BTU at my living room but it's on standby for the really hot days/ nights and when there are guests only. Usually the ceiling is more than enough for cooling.

Congrats and welcome, doremon2009! It is good to start planning early. You are at the right place to find out more about home renovations! Many people share their experiences here with details of their renovations progress coupled with photos. There are quite some good blogs here but you'll need to take time to read them through. Do also read up more of those home interior magazines to get ideas, and search around the internet for more ideas. Our personal experience started in April was to start meeting up with various IDs to get their ideas and quotations. Visited those home interior fairs at Expo as well but just be careful with some of the exhibitors there. They can be very persistent and even irritating. Many of those folks there are simply sales people. We requested for quotations from some 10 IDs and managed to meet up about 6 of them, but eventually decided on engaging a recommended contractor to do our renovations instead as by that time, my wife and myself already has ideas and knows what we wanted. It is also to cut costs as we are on a tight budget due to various commitments. Our renovations started end-July and were completed by mid-Sep. Have finally moved in last weekend. So enjoy the process and start checking out the various IDs! -
Hi Elane, we know which one you're referring to. That big white one which is $2.50 or $3.00. Will help you get it if we go Ikea this weekend.
-
So which level should I be looking at to see you wave?
-
Wahahaha! Gosh, this is funny! *blush* Haha... Woh ok, we try to go if got time, but it's a bit tight for us as some friends are coming late afternon and my wife is cooking for them.
