beany0811, hi hi...it has been 4mths & our RE-rectifications hasn't been done & we have a Housewarming coming up soon. What a great way to showcase their "project" as I am taking this opportunity to open my place to my friends who are considering engaging them. I will let the results speak for themselves.

eh...i got a resale unit which is actually smaller than my previous 5rm flat in cck. but bcos of the layout, i am able to maximise my space. my previous flat flr area is 123 whereas current place is only 117. however, it appears to me that newer flats in gd location are gettg smaller as compared to similar ones in area further away fm central. so Sam my Man, u must be stayg in a gd location thus our MBT can't give u bigger flr area.

i got 2 recliners fm lorenzo at $1k n the other fm seahorse for less than $700 if i dont recall wrongly. both were bought during sale. sry i dont hv any pics.

for my 2nd place, i ditched the idea of conventional sofa & went to buy 4 recliners. i also ditched coffee table & opt for 3 tier mobile plastic trolley where i put drinks on highest, snacks on the 2nd & magazine on the lowest. the recliners are placed in living rm cum home entertainment area. i scoffed at pple's comment on the absent of sofa as i felt that it is my home where i shd be comfortable & if guests want to get comfortable, they can do so at my dining area where i got comfortable chair with arm rest n they can spend quality time enjoying the breeze & greenery. btw, i stay in hdb flat

Tested the 4 Kings of mattress while shopping for new mattress for new place. Lower price doesn't mean it is no good. You hv to see whether you hv any problem like backaches & whether it fit your budget. Finally settled on Sealy's Kingsbury as we got back problems. No regrets.

ok, here's a piece of advice that i give out to test whether it is because you didn't squeeze enough water out from your mop. drop a piece of tissue paper on your floor after you mop. press it lightly and lift up to see. from there you can tell. let me know the results and then i can share the alternatives if it is due to your flooring.

from reno experiences that we had, suggest you be more involved cos if mistakes are nipped early, there's still some hope for rectification. once mistakes are made, profit margin dropped, do you think any id/contractor will still be patient, listen to your needs and take care of you?

don't understand how you define neat design. basically, it would be good to have some firm ideas abt what you wanted otherwise you will end up with rather similar designs. recommend this firm to my frens, not at all cos most of them work long hours and don't have time to monitor reno/a&a. reno or a&a really require constant monitoring and co-ordination. have raised some requests to add on to their T&C. unfortunately was told not possible. as i mentioned, pretty lopsided. protecting their own interests.

if u had gone for yr 1st appointment, i am sure hdb did informed you an estimated figure. on yr 2nd appointment, they work out an EXACT computation of your principal amount that you have borrowed plus the "interest" that you would have accumulated on your total sum withdrawn from cpf. less off the outstanding on yr loan & amt paid by yr buyer.

My ID didn't give me glossy laminate for my console. Brought it up to him but he kept insisting that the laminate is correct. Asking it to be re-laminate is totally impossible. Thus, can I know whether just apply a coat of lacquer over it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

printing?? do u mean painting. go to a professional painter. they will be able to give you a professional advice & quotation. from what i understand, a layer of white "cement" will be applied over it. then the "painters" should wait for it to be 100% driy ed before they apply a coat of sealer on this. then sealer must be 100% dry to ensure the paint will stay on.

well, i pray that all yr rectification works are still on yr "ID" urgent list. after this round, i really LEHMAN about the type of "ID".
