The tiler has moved in the cement blocks. He'll build the cement benches on both sides of the glass panel next week.

The living room is almost done. The room is cleared and the parquet wood floor is stained. We need to finish painting the skirting and touch up on the paint. Other than that, we're ready to move in the furniture. Before: After:

hi rasp the window frame is aluminum color and the glass is actually tinted (i think it's green). i think it works better to keep the room cool, compared to clear glass.

they aren't really bricks. they call it "cultured stone". they come in thin pieces like tiles. maybe u can take it on as a d.i.y. project.

i bought it from Euromark for $1,930. cheapest after an island-wide search.

Made more progress yesterday. The aircon guys came back to install the new Panasonic Envio Inverter System 3 in my bedrooms. Nice design but looks a little bulky. The new windows and doors are installed too.

you may also want to check out Lumiere and Lightology along Balestier. i got my lights from them. the service is really good and they have a great selection of lights from Europe. 30% off European lamps an 20% off others till end of GSS. i like these shops because they display the countries where the lamps are manufactured on the price tags

Ceiling fan arrived today. Unfortunately the rod is too short Need to find a 3m rod before Wed. Doubles up as a hanging lamp when fan isn't in use.

yes, the original color looks good too but the white bricks will go better with the overall design. stay tuned.

My aircon trunking is huge. The plastic casing leads to my condenser that sits outside the window. I'm going to use a side table to cover it.

There is no turning back now. The brick walls are primed and ready to be painted "barely grey" white. The painting work will be delayed for 1-2 days. Will upload more pics when the job is done.
