u r most welcome... usually samples and packaging have to look impressive and "superb".... but bear in mind... good things doesnt come in low prices... and most of the time all these are sales presentation... if u happen to come across anyone from renotalk who saw my samples b4, u can ask how i present my samples to them... i will actually show them my unpolished samples and the samples are juz in a box... if u dun mind i can show u my samples as well... btw in singapore corian is one of the only 2 brand that is using 100% acrylic and its non porous... cheers

hihi... usually the other brands of solid surface u get outside are porous... thus polishing is require every 2-3 yrs... and they are charging at abt 25 psf with a minimun of $250.... which ever is higher...

hihi... maybe u can contact me at 82231787 for some advice??

hi... sorry for late reply... usually blacks are more prominent to scratches... but if u choose a black base with speckles it might not be so obvious.... but for corian solid surface.... u can only see hairline scratches at certain angles...

hihi... i have never heard of this brand b4.... neither does my collegues have heard it b4... maybe u would like to consider corian solid surface....

hi spearhawk, urban works solid top is actually not 100% acrylic. it is a polyester material. which means it is porous and does not have high heat resistance and scratch resistance. if the material is porous, that means if u spill and wine on the top, it will be absorb into the material and thus creating a patch of wine stain on the top. usual place will be the sink area, as there are moist and especially the soap area. the material will have a patch of stain at the soap area. maybe u would like to consider corian solid surface as it is a 100% acylic material and its non porous. feel free to give me a call for a non obligated appointment. cheers

hi anetha, i'm a corian solid surface distributor. for dirts on a solid surface, u can use BLUE scotch brite and cif to clean it off. but if the stains are absorb into the material, u can get the contractors to polish off for you. a solid top is polish by using sanding paper. but of cos not those normal sanding papers. a stain can only absorb by the solid top is when the material u are using is a porous material. thus it's rather hard to maintain.

hi, a hardened sillicon can be easily removed by using a sharp pen knife. no agents can be use for removing sillicon unless it's applied within less than 5mins. my dad is a glass and mirror manufacturer and he deals with sillicon everyday. hope my suggestion helps cheers

hi... so sorry to hear abt this... according to my experience u can actually ask him to remove the whole solid surface without damaging ur cabinets.... as for 3* and c***to, they are actually polyester solid surfaces and usually have changes in colour if expose to sunlight for a long period of time.... instead of telling u the bad things of other brands, maybe i juz share with u my brand.... basically i'm carrying CORIAN solid surface... this is a 100% acrylic solid surface and it is non - porous... which means it does not allow germs or bacteria to grow in the material... for eg. u can leave the spilled red wine on the corian overnight and it can be clean off with detergent without leaving any stains at all.... we did a test with national sanitation foundation and it is tested and proven to be safe to handle food on a corian top without worrying of getting contamination by the material... in fact bread talk in singapore are rolling their doughs on a corian top.... it comes with a 10 yrs warranty for material and 1 yr warranty for worksmanship.... all corian material have a unique batch number to it... so u dun have to worry abt not able get the same colour if u really need any repair.... btw all solid surfaces are scratch resistance only... they are not scratch proof.... i hope i have give u a better understanding on the solid surfaces... if u do need any help, u can feel free to contact me for a non obligated enquiry... cheers

hi... just to let u know that putting corian solid surface will not discolour or creack as corian solid surface is a very durable material... i have quite a few customers actually install solid surface on their bay window and it turn out to be classy... by the way... there are many imitation solid surface that will discolour under hot sun....only genuine corian surface comes with a 10 year material warranty.... cheers
