Saw my fren's condo decoration and workmanship by DyelDesign. Quite creative and the layout is good + workmanship quite good too.. But are they good for HDB reno >> in terms of pricing and creativitiy (as HDB layout and condo layout are quite diff) So far, i cant seems to find details reviews/feedback about them ... (though some say they are costly) Going to visit them this friday. Has anyone in this forum try them out ?? OTHER question >>>my frens also told me abt Homeway design.... apparently in 2007 and 2008 (lousy workmanship, MIAed ID,etc etc) , the company is kns one and at one time, they were not a licensed HDB contractor... BUT this year , 2009 , has they improved???

i search HDB site >> i cant find HOMEWAY license details... Does it means that HOMEWAY is gone liao???

I just went down to idealhouse yesterday to gather quotation for my home renovation. The ID who serve me is Sean Wong, Has anyone engage him before? (his name never appear YET) He looks like a friendly & creative ID who answer most of my queries and needs. He will be sending me the quotation this week. Went to our FIRST 2 ID firms (Baroque and ClassicIdeas ) yesterday to get a "feel" on engaging an ID for our house (4A, resale flat at tampines) We are going for overhaul so its quite major - Planning to renovate my kitchen, living room 3 rooms, 2 toilets in terms of flooring, painting, plumbing, electric, cabinet and a wardrobe Theme>> modern (easiest haha)... cfm not Balinese or zen.. prefer those stylo colours and metals Budget >> $25K The details quotes (soft copy) are not out yet. But both of them give me difference feel Baroque.>> met Sunny on that day and i really like his "ah-beng' style of explaining... really friendly and FRANK. GOOD. He explained to me in details what can and cannot e done >> Base on COMMON designs.... (cos we only have a vague idea in mind) Total quote is $30K (inclusive of 21 x electrical points - light and power) BUT NOT much freebie except the 24ft kitchen cabinet with solid top, aluminum toilet doors, hood and hob ClassicIdea>> The ID there looks SLEEPY and like not too sure of what they are doing leh.... 1st impression= lousy When i told him wat we want, he say ok ok , everything also can be done. we have not discuss abt the theme/style yet... now still looking around , looking at other people's theme. MAybe after that then start asking for quotes I like modern and Zen themes so far i ever saw a house >> the flooring is like graphite stone , those tar black and poky feel (like new roads).. quite UNIQUE and nice.. thinking of trying.. any one know wat flooring is that??

Then we must settle the design 1st then if we buy the furnture ourside, we just have to check with the ID where the furniture matches the design or is there a need to change the design rite??

Or will the ID liaise with contractor for me ??? 2)when renovating, i know kitchen cabinets and wardrobe can be done up by the ID BUT what about dining tables, sofa, lighting and others furniture?? we get them or the ID gets them for us?? Cos the drawings that i saw>> mostly are with dinning tables, lighting, sofa, chairs, etc etc.. does this means that it will be provided under renovation?? or just for show only??? i saw some BEAUTIFUL drawings>> the sofa drawn is quite stylo. I dont even know the price or where to buy If we buy , then how do know if it fits the design ??
