What according bencoolservices mentioned was not wrong, but there still might have other reason to cause the ice forming. 1) Shortage of gas like wat bencoolservices mentioned. 2) Malfunction Of Magnetic contactor of compressor, and cause compressor running non stop. 3) Expansion valve or capallary tiub choked. 4) Indoor coil was too dirty and choked ,freeze up. but in this situation, it wont drop ice but only water start dipping and u will feel not cold in that room Hopefully you will get more help on my small advice... Hmm... base on your msg, the sound is come from just compressor? but usually compressor wont created so loud sound, unless poor installation on location or base to hold compressor starting rusty and unable to absort the vibration. As i know, cost around 300-400 is enough to change new compressor for outside market. But i dun think the charge was so high since the unit is still under warrantly, you are their customer but the labour fees is more higher than 1 new compressor. Or another suggestion is, some of aircond company will help to change the faulty compressor and installing it back, but u need have the original warrantly card. ( its only happen when the compressor spoiled and comfirmed Carrier technician.) If you still think the cost is high, or u might call some other aircondman to see whether can reduce the sound lower?

Hi, Here is some my opinion ,For the Red colour section. At first, if they are specialist in aircond, once the the place was blocked up by your house design, they should comfirm with you whether those poor water flow in drainage pipe might effect in future. if for profesional aircondman, they will suggest u better solution if anything not correct. And regarding the condensation problem, i am suspecting the drainage line is at poor flowing and the insulation was using lower quality when installation, need to check just able to comfirm it. 2nd, about the power trip, i believe there is the connection between middle of those wires. The proper way they shall use 1 length wire but not connect two wire for thier saving propose. Due to your poor water flowing and cause leaking in middle trunking, water will stay inside and might effect the connection between wires and that will cause tripped in your house. My final advise, since it still under warranty, call them back and fixed it completely for you. Hehe... if can find some expert to comfirm full view of your problems first, then only u able to talk with them... hehe....good luck....
