  1. Oh I see. Ya Reallllyyyy difficult. But why would you want separate one? If got 5 types then you need to open many just to get 1 type, unless you label them or remember which one is which one.
  2. Suan lum is getting ridiculously expensive. Go Chatuchuk instead. The household department is huge. I've bought cheap wall decals, artificial leafy to decorate pipes in toilet and hanging deco. Regretted not buying more. Sigh. Now I know how much profit the wall decals sellers are earning...
  3. For anyone who is interested, I saw a pushcart selling them at Jurong Point(new wing), starhub level. Cheers
  4. Japan Home (jurong point, yewtee point) Ntuc also have bah I think OG(bugis) have more high-end prettier types.
  5. Hiya the quote covers 1) living room, semi circle balcony, double curved tracks, day(stripe/semi-transparent design) and night curtains, 80% blackout..around 3.5m bah. 2) master bed room, night curtains only, around 80% blackout. With some simple prints. 3m. 3) Roman blinds(same material as 2), half length. 3m(hence 2 sets). 4) For walk-in-wardrobe hallway, 1.2m wide, full length. (same material as 2) So far, their service are quite okay. Haven put up the curtains though coz reno not done yet. But should be 1 of the cheapest around. =) He's recommended by my friend. If you're interested then PM me. Wish u good luck
  6. Compared quotes from 3 sources for Curtains. 2 of them gave me around $1400-$1500 and the cheapest one(without compromising quality) is $920. Happy. Anyone interested can pm me for contact. =) By the way, anyone got cheap and good recommendation for 1) acid wash, 2) spraypaint services for my dressing table? Thanks much.
  7. blinds usually more expensive than curtains leh. wah that's cheap!

okie. hopefully they got sofa and dining table combi, because I got my bed liao. =)
  9. Thanks for your input. Yeah their stuff are pretty nice but quite expensive.
  10. Vhive service sucks big time. If you're buying from them, make sure your item only needs minimal service, like office chair or office table. I had a wardrobe from them, lousy workmanship, lousy service and attitude.
  11. My living room window is a semi-circle thingy. For living room(day/night, around 3.2m), MBR(night, 3m), hallway to WIW(1.2m, night) and half length roller blinds(3m) at study area, came up to $1500+. Is it expensive or what? The uncle at clementi said the materials I choose are expensive, initially quote $1600 one. I change some cheaper materials then become $1500+. Still pretty exp leh.

Hello their promo still on? Might be going sugei kadut branch
  13. thanks for your comment. Over-average then still okay, I think the design is above average too. Best is lots of storage. Haha, round curved corners. Love it. I try see can find pic or not Haiz if only all contractors are more honest, we dont have to compare till so tired. Some are seriously too greedy. I got quoted $1500 for my house curtains....still comparing.
  14. eh thanks for your pm but I think I NEED more help than capable to give help here. Haha. Am new too. Thanks for all the advises. Will input if I have comments. Oh I just bought this from their showroom at Parkmall. Includes mirror cabinet, tap, sink and the cabinet below. Hmm it's in glossy spraypaint kinda thing, told to be water resistent. After some bargain, its 719+delivery 50=$769. Is that okie? Also bought a tv console and coffeetable all in white(1700), and a country/french style side table(410) from Ecolinks at $2109 including delivery. Pretty pleased with it. Because the former got tons of storage, I like. Haha. Well rounded design too...aiya..too bad never take picture... Tv console + coffeetable = 1700, not very indulgent hor? Reasonable or cheap?
  15. Hey nice wallpaper. May I know how big is your wall? WHy my ID quote up to 1k for a wall(e.g, whole wall behind L shape sofa and slightly more)? Mine considered expensive? Any cheap wallpaper to recommend? Thanks much!
  16. I think I'll most probably settle on LG or Mitz fridges. My mum is a fan of Mitz fridge and we bought a 2nd Mitz fridge after the old one died after 12years of loyal service. Remarkable huh? Somemore we never off the power before, comes with ice-making capabilities too. Love it. LG fridge looks nice. =) My friend said her LG fridge has been working for 8 years and counting too. I wont buy F&P because 1 time I was viewing them in the showcase and somehow, while closing it, the clumpsy me kiap my finger between the upper and lower handle. So painful. =(
  17. This thread is very useful. Please do keep the posting coming. I will be getting keys soon so will be glad to know more. As for myself, the electronics I regretted buying will be the garment steamer too, and Watson feet massager. I love my Shimono portable vacuum cleaner and 2100W philips hairdryer. The latter is specially useful to blow dry my dog. It used to take 45minutes to 1 hr to blow dry her completely, now it takes 15mins. =) I'll post more when I think of any
  18. =.= But I wonder if really ask such questions, is it like doubting him or something..kinda rude right. "hey can you predict what happened before?" =.=
  19. 2 central aircon on each side? But I still want aircon in living room and another bedroom leh...I only want system 3. Dont want system 4.
  20. Thank you all for your replies. =) Do you mean 2 fancoil as in 2 aircon units? Sorry I did a google but I still dont quite understand about the fan coil thingy.. Ya If 1 unit, even if in between the 2 rooms, doubt it will really cool both units. Even with the curtains thingy, the aircon need to be placed perpendicular to the 2 rooms which are side by side..and even so, I doubt the aircon air can go freely. I chose to have the other door at the bedroom 2 is because I think it's more welcoming to come home and see a nice spread of bed. =) On the contrary, if the first sight that greets the MBR is the toilet and wardrobe, I will feel abit sian. But of course both have their pros, your idea is more practical with more privacy. Hack off whole wall between 2 rooms ah, hmm will definitely look more spacious. But where to mount my TV? Hmm unless set up a mini featured wall to mount it? As you can see, we're trying desperately to squeeze in some office desk...will it look weird if no wall to separate the 2 vastly different rooms which serves different purposes but yet a need to combine them together? A bigger curtain for partition? Thanks for your contribution of ideas! exhaust sucking the cold air into WIW? My god..all this is getting too chim for me to understand..never heard of such things before..haha..doubt my SO understands too. But we will definitely voice it to the contractor. Thanks alot!
  21. Chim. How you calculate all those one? "just need to adjust the direction wherever I need it"--> How you adjust one? I thought the copper wirings make it impossible? My house also not big lah, master room so small. That's why gonna hack a small opening through 1 room to combine 2 rooms. Just did this overnight. Do until 7am ah! Original edited So limited space. Arghh. The green colour thingy in the master room should be the office table, the yellow being the wardrobe. Hope you all understand what I drew. Oh the pool table is a joke. Just ignore it. =D You did? I thought your solution quite okie. Meanwhile....let me go and goggle what is BTU.....
  22. hmm....my SO said the curtains will be ugly. =( Where will right? I thought U shape will be quite nice. Hmm..not a bad idea! Eh nono..window aircon very noisy!
  23. Hi Yoong thanks so much for your reply. =) Ya I also think aircon wire cannot always twist..but just wondering if put loosely and only twist 1 direction back and forth, will it be okie.. Thanks for your suggestions! We will consider which one to take. =)
  24. I'm feeling a little ridiculous myself while Im typing..ahem..but anyway... I plan to da3 tong1 one of the bedroom to combine with the masterbedroom to be a WIW with small study area. However I wish that our living room, the masterbedroom and 1 more bedroom all got aircon, 3 split aircon unit. But I also scared if the masterbedroom become bigger(after being da3 tong1), 1 aircon will not be enough for coolness. Therefore we will set up curtain between the 2 sections. BUT as 1 section is also a study area...Im afraid it will be hot if only the sleeping area got aircon. Erm...can I mount a aircon on a board or something on the wall between the 2 sections and make it so that it can swivel 360degrees...so that at any 1 time, I can choose the study corner cum WIW got aircon, OR my sleeping area got aircon. Can the wires take it or what? If I sound ridiculous...please pardon me...*blushed*
