Where To Buy Woods, Timber, Planks, Plywoods, Laminated Sheets
rottenramone replied to KayLan's topic in DIY Corner
gonna build an industrial bookshelf. i just went to ban hin leong (?) at syed alwi to get some plywood. 2 pc 1ft x 2ft + 2 pc 1ft x 4ft = $16! the people there are very friendly too. plywood finishing is still very rough, spent the better half of sunday to sand till its smooth. used 2 grades of sandpaper to smoothen it progressively. anyone knows where to get plumbing pipes? -
it is cheap but i suggest u get a few friends to do it and buy them lunch as a reward or something... it is super time consuming.

usually sink will use clear silicone right? thats my thinking

thanks. those are megabulbs from &tradition. we got them from www.connox.com. alternatively you can look locally at the foundry store where they stock them. they are located at purvis st. just an update since our last: staying in our home has been an awesome experience so far. we've bought a few items from our last japan trip, such as the muji bench. muji solid wood furniture is affordable and awesome if u ask me. we have the clothes stand and bench. the plywoods are pretty ok too. if u don't mind the plain look, you can consider muji. a disappointment would be our bludot couchoid sofa. the faux leather tears easily. granted that the piece we got was from showroom, the rate that it disintegrated was too much. pomelo's been great at service recovery and offered us store credit. i will consider fabric or leather couches for my next one. i haven't had the time to build those diy shelves yet.

Until Death Do Us Part: My Renovation Story
rottenramone replied to renoseeker's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
Nice thread, but hiring an agent to hire an agent is a little complicated. Decisions related to selecting an ID I feel is mostly irrational, like all human decision making. What if the client asks the agent to make a recommendation and is not satisfied with the process? -
TS = Thread/T-blog starter. In this case, it means you.

hahaha thanks for the support sfk7 i'm a big fan of your place. when we were scouting ard for and id, we used ur blog as an inspiration. even the guys at proj file mentioned u. anyways, back to the lack of pics. it's not that we don't want to, but we're kinda still living outta our boxes, there's no internet atm and we're headed for a holiday next week. so things are still very unsettled. i am also looking fwd to building a bookshelf. i posted the link at the diy club, so checkkit out

don't underestimate royal franco. the display items are like those items "on sale" in 4d shops. they have a huge catalogue of various items and can give very good prices. -
yeah now's not a good time for BKK. but maybe u can get ultra good discounts? but maybe the stores are closed?
