Ideal House Id

I think the reason you are being barred is simple...it is not too difficult to check that under your previous nick all postings you have about IDs seem to give you a bad service. Either all IDs are equally that bad and nobody in RT is receiving good service, or there may be something wrong with your attitude to them. Seems you may ( have some hidden agenda? Do read forum rules on badmouthing and slandering (just scroll to the top), your repeated actions to badmouth every ID may have gotten the admin to ban you. There is absolutely nothing fishy about it.. It has been a year since I chose IdealHouse, now looking for some design tips online to help my aunty do up her house. I contacted Peter too and as he has some projects on hand so he frankly discussed with me on a appropriate date I can start my aunt's reno. I can accept the explanation given. If you cannot accept Kenneth's frank sharing, you mean you prefer to get cheated by people who tell you they can surely handle yours but screw it up in the end? So far all my friends whom I recommend there give me a thumbs up.. -
Merry Christmas to all~ In a Christmasy mood, so took some photos of the Christmas decor for keepsake of the 1st Christmas in the new home. Here they are.. Bells on my keyholder. White table runner with a gold theme for dining area. A red theme in the living area. More of it... Finally the Christmas tree again, with presents...and a glowing snow man.

Hi CJREDDEVIL & MKsoo, thank you very much... hcbing, I will pm you. Have not logged in for some time, here's a Christmas tree...wishing everyone here a Merry Merry Christmas with the lights off.. with the lights on..

Hi Zhiz, nope it won't as there is a kerb constructed at the shower area. Therefore the carpet at the w/c side is usually still quite dry unless after we take a bath and use it to dry our feet..

Hi newnyew, your tv and ur player is definitely not spoilt. If you disconnect your Starhub cable and connect ur DVD player cable right now, you will surely see colour & sound. From what I can see in the photo: What happened is that you do not have enough connectors of the yellow+red+white combi kind on your TV. You will need to get a component cable or yellow-blue-red combination to connect the video from ur player to tv, and a red-hite for the sound.

Have PMed the contacts. Hi skywire, Peter is my ID for my home reno. I would say he did a great job by meeting my very tight deadline, in speed of follow-ups and ensuring great quality of work done. I guess his experience helps. But like all have mentioned in this forum, choosing an ID is a personal thing and it is best you meet him personally to find out. What suits others may not suit you btw I've just uploaded some more photos in my t-blog thread. Enjoy ur reno experience~ -
Good morning all. Finally bought my study chair and rug 1 week plus back to complete the basic furniture & stuff for my study room. Have settled nicely into house, here are some photos! Also, one place I like is the entrance to all the bedrooms. I chose a set of tiles to match the parquet going into the bedrooms from the living room, this helped create a different feel to this corridor..

hihi all, have PMed you. cheers~ Enjoy ur reno experience! -
Vex, perhaps you can elaborate more on ur statement and how u come to determine that most ppl in RT think that Philips is worst? Though I don't use Philips, I don't think it is a lousy brand and would like to hear from you.

Newnyew, you'll only be able to connect ur DVD player to ur hubstation if your player has recorder function, that means it is called a DVD recorder. You see you need a AV IN behind ur DVD recorder to receive signal from the hubstation. From what reiki posted, in the end, you still need to connect ur DVD recorder directly to the TV using the AV OUT port (and that means still can't reduce one set of cables). And finally, even if somehow you can connect ur DVD player to ur Hubstation, then from Hubstation go to the TV, I wouldn't recommend it because it means ur DVD signal would be compromised by going thru the Hubstation. Direct connection is the best for good pix quality.

Yea man, always option 1 for me. Even if heater have to consume energy to boil up whole tank of water again, IMO it's better than leaving it on where it consumes energy by having to monitor the temp..

Bad Experience With Everj@#nt

Hey, then if u don't know these few things, who are you really angry with? Most delivery is done by that brand's own delivery man. At least I know this is true for Panasonic, Electrolux, Samsung, LG, Sony. So if there is any issue, surely respective co's delivery man/coordinator/dept not doing a good job. I am not assuming you didn't, but if you discussed with EJ amicably, it won't have been very difficult to resolve. Edited: grammar.. -
Hey Adrian, I am using a 25l Joven water heater. I only need to switch it on for 5 and then turn it off before I bathe. The hot water can last my wife & I two good warm baths. I don't usually like bathing in hot water, so mildly warm is good enough. Looking forward to more photos of ur home~

Tried looking at the home deco section for shaggys/rugs/carpets, seems like not too much info on it except to go to Ikea & Courts. Someone recommended united carpets so perhaps can try. If u guys know where to get the above items & also a good study chair, let me know k. Meanwhile will go to IMM to search for them.
-
Hihi all, besides Courts & Ikea, any more other recommendations? I'm gonna take a look at united carpets for now.

Bad Experience With Everj@#nt

Hrm, I was looking for something else but bumped into this thread.. I have my fair share of good experience of buying many things from EJ. I don't doubt you are angry, can see you just signed in to complain. But from ur own words, seems like you are a pretty difficult customer to deal with. Especially for the last pt u mentioned "they" damaged ur m/c. You mean EJ went to the supplier to damage ur m/c before delivering to you? Or the delivery man? I doubt anybody wants to do something so silly, it is merely an infortunate accident, and definitely not EJ's fault as like you said they are an agent. Really don't understand who your "they" refer to. And the final arrangement for re-delivery is really something you could've done on the spot with the delivery man who already promised you replacement. Like that you still want to call EJ just to complain? You are just plain difficult IMO.. -
Hihi worldangel, I see. Woodlands generally is still much cheaper than the rest of Sg. I got the area there because it is just a few blocks away from my in-laws. how is the progress of ur house now? Been busy and not looking at here often. Still in midst of final touch up of my study room. Study table just arrived yday and my bedroom tv last week. Surprisingly tv signal directly through the starhub outlet is quite good.. Wish to find out from all of you if there is any place to get affordable & good rugs/carpets and a study chair? Besides Ikea that is. Not too sure where to start from for getting these 2 items. If u are aware, so share, thank you!

Hi Adrian, its coming together nicely. Looking forward to seeing your completed home soon~

Trevor, for a start, since you have all the phone numbers of the sub-cons, why don't you give them a call to check on uncle's transactions with them lately, this may help you to find out what situation he may be in. Either it can assure you that nothing is wrong, or if not the other way round... hrm. As the consumer, you have the right to find out.

Hi Pomme, yah my wife and I really wanted a cozy home, one that we would really look forward to returning to every day after a hard day's work. I once considered Rosewood Suites. Its really a nice little build-up, but it was too expensive.. I see that your new home is in the final stages too. I am not able to access your blogspot link. However from your RT blog, can see that you've bought a rather expensive TV and w/c. In fact, looking at most your appliances, all rather good We've got the same fridge~ Yes, the embedded room is going to be a children's room.

Hihi Pinklady, thank you. I think my toilet size is considered the standard size for most flats less than 10 years old? I chose white reflective tiles on the wall to help reflect light and make it feel larger. Perhaps also the way photo was taken! I was just commenting the other day that newnyew has a nice toilet too..
-
Very neat and nice! Love plants in the toilet. Simple deco but makes the toilet alive and a warm place to be in~

Hihi, I've PMed you Peter's contact. My proposal is that looking for either one of them is good enough. They are colleagues afterall and by looking for both, you may make things hard of them! And surely both their quotations will be same since it comes from the company. Either Peter or Lynn has received good reviews here, so you probably won't go wrong with either one of them. Cheers~ -

Hihi Weewee, yes Peter did my reno nearly 2 months back. Very good job, he has a lot of experience. Do look at my thread (not much of actual reno works here though) at http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=23604 Alternatively my personal reno blog jyyj.vox.com has more photos and detailed progress of the renovation works. Do discuss with Peter about the quotation. Enjoy ur home reno experience!
