  1. I'm looking at Ripples' place on Channel 8 right now!!!! Nice!~~~
  2. http://www.louvre-furniture.com/en/main_en.htm Just in case anybody wanna know more about the furniture malls. This is just one of them. There are a couple more just next door. But finishing one mall will take you more than an entire day unless you have a very clear idea of what furniture you are going for.
  3. Very clever way of partitioning.....can share where to get those acrylic pieces??
  4. Thanks Ripples, your kitchen looks very nice and expensive.
  5. You can buy from www.taobao.com and send it to the shipping co I'm using. Heh. Or tompang forummers going there. Got quite a few mention they going to GZ to get lights.
  6. The 1st one is abt SGD60+ the 2nd one abt SGD20+.
  7. Yes, the 1st two is from GZ. The track light is I dismantle from my current place. Hah. Die die also dun wanna give new owner.
  8. Master bedroom light Staircase light track light
  9. Thanks Xherion for clearing my doubts. I agree with you after I seen pics of the inside of your condo. The layout and kitchen is very nice only the bathrooms was a little off. I actually wanted to look at Ascentia Sky but was put off by the the sky high launch price.
  10. I heard from my property agent that the building materials used for Metropolitan is not very good. Is it true? And is it very noisy as it is just beside the MRT track? I also heard the MRT track actually cuts into the condo compound, above the children playground?
  11. 3 pics that I got from the mall. It's Suzhou embroidery that's why it looks more 3D than printed vases. At 1st I hesitated cos of the price, in the end I call the gallery to deliver it to the freight forwarder. So it's gonna adorn the hallway. Heh
  12. I have check with my ID...he say the 3rd wire is the earth wire. SHouldn't be a prob with the installation. I bought my MBR light for RMB 300 over there and I saw this shop in Balestier selling something similiar for like SG 380!! I shld have bought my down lights and toilet lights there too. But my hand luggage full of lights le. I bought my toilet ceiling light X 2, toilet mirror light X 2, 4 downlight back here already SGD 200+. I bought like wall light X 4 , bedroom light X 2 for less than RMB 1000 back in GZ. If you intend to buy chandelier, I think there got more choices and def much more cheaper than in SG. I saw the light switches in GZ..... but I think its slightly cheaper than SG only...and their 13A plug is not the same as in sg. At 1st I also tot of buying Clipsal switches over there but sianz leh...must get the 13A back here. So in the end I just buy everything from Choo Chiang. But they carry Panasonic switches in china and a few other brand which I can't rem. If you do not wanna go till the furn mall which is the outskirt just go to 大南路。 The lighting shops are all there. And the shopping street is just nearby, so ur wifey can go shop then u go light shopping. Bear in mind those lighting shops close early......ard 6-6:30pm. Hope this info helps.
  13. Hi Kellogs I have the SG office and the GZ office contact. It takes roughly 7 days for the shipment to arrive in SG. Those BIG furniture centres in GZ also carry those tropical furnitures in teak or cane. Even those neo classical and opulent style furnitures. Lightings and accessories. You wanna custom make anything also can! In China, anything is possible!
  14. 30+ slabs of marble + labour lor.
  15. One of the furniture centre in Shunde, Guangzhou. This is just one of them. Each of them is like 5-6 storey and its much bigger than Vivocity and Harbourfront add together. You need at least 1-2 days if you wanna finish one building. My couch. My dining table. There's lighting wholesale centre around there too. A lot of designer furniture look a like too. I bought these too. To decorate one of the door and maybe the kitchen cabinets. Heh..... Things you can never get in Singapore.
  16. I found this freight forwarder that does door to door shipping. Meaning they will ship right to your doorstep. They charge about RMB 500 per cubic meter。 Let's say you are buying a dining table with the dimensions of 120 X 75 X 80. The price would be (1.2 X 0.75 X 0.80) X 500 = RMB 360. All the paperwork and permits would be done by them. The only thing you have to pay is the GST. And I've bargain with them, if we buy more can charge cheaper rate or not. Lolzz. Actually I wanna put the terracota warrior in my apt, but no space. Lolzz. I heard there's this place in GZ with a big furniture mall. My friend would be bringing me there. Shall take some pictures to post here. Anywayz most of the furniture and lighting are from China these days, so I think I'll just pop over for a look. Taking Tiger Airways there, budget mah.
  17. Here's some 3D drawings. Master bedroom wardrobe Kitchen Perspective 1 Kitchen Perspective 2 My quote came up to $27k including the MBR toilet which I hack away the shower tray and replace the botak patch. Just the stoopid botak patch cost me $3k+ cos the bathroom is in marble. Will post the pictures of my renovation progress once I'm back from furniture shopping in GuangZhou.
  18. Hmmm the angle between the two walls is not 90 degrees, one of the wall is slanted.............it will be placed at the corner of the dining/kitchen area.
  19. Dimensions: W:1800mm X H2250mm X D500mm I was quoted $1280. What do you guys think about the price? Reasonable or on the high side?
  20. Anybody has experience with a condenser dryer? A condenser dryer is nearly double the price of a normal tumble dryer. Is it any better than a normal dryer other than the fact it doesn't produce hot air when drying your clothes ? Would like to hear a few more feedback before deciding which dryer to buy. Thanks.
  21. May I ask what other brands do they carry beside Rinnai? Yesterday I went to Centerpoint 5th floor, there's this shop selling all the high end kitchen applicances. From De Dietrich, miele to Bosch. I nearly fainted on seeing the price.
  22. Hi newnyew, Can I just check with you the pricing for your flooring is for how big an area? And can Pm me the contact of the Hauhau Parquet? Thanks.
  23. Thanks DoubleJ and Angel for the compliment. DoubleJ, this apt valuation is about 1.25 but I got it at below valuation cos it's a bank sale. I'm also leaning towards the Hunter Douglas Blinds but the height limitation is 4.4m, I have no idea how tall are the full height windows cos its too high too measure *duh*. So have to wait till I get the keys and the bank is taking their own sweet time. Haizzz My ID quoted me 2.5K for the full height curtains (including scaffolding) and not to forget curtains cleaning is charge by per kilo. Imagine everytime I clean my curtains a few hundred bucks gone. So far I only got 2 ID to quote me , too lazy to get more quotes. Wanted to go Home & Decor Fair but the next one is end of Jun. No time liao, want to go IMM but all the reviews are here already. I'm just overhauling the kitchen and MBR so those ID probably think I'm too small fry for them. Heh
