Nowadays red seems to be quite a popular color to use. Red often gives off a fiery, alert, danger kind of feeling. Might not be that good if one spends too much time looking at the color imho. Some food for thought, hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts here One of the reasons why many IDs and contractors recommend TV consoles with a wall/board/solid backing is the practicality. Usually people will not want to get distracted when they are watching their favourite shows. If there are people walking behind the TV most of the time (as it is the dining area), people watching tv will get distracted every now and then.

Hehe you like me like that keep saying sorry de haha. Dun need to feel sorry or paiseh lah. We are a bunch of friendly peeps over here and are more than willing to help out by sharing our experiences. Even if there is something which one of us don't know, others will help answer too. Feel free to approach your contractor or ID if you have any question regarding placement of lightings, they are engaged by you and have enough experience to assist in planning out the lighting points. Another person who is ideal is the place where you buy your lights from, those lighting specialty shops. Just bring your floorplan along, and if you have pictures of your pre-renovated house, you can bring them along too. It will help a lot in accessing whether the lights are sufficient to brighten up the place. Hmm for carpentry I asked Patrick (my contractor) to do up my kitchen cabinet, altar, wall-shelf (vanity table) and kitchen decor boxes. The rest I get from IKEA. As for tiles I retile both my toilets (MBR and common toilet) and kitchen. Study room and MBR I use floor laminates. Rest of the house floor tiles I keep. Yep, usually IDs and some contractors will bring their clients to shops to get fixtures and stuff. You can, however choose to get the fixtures from the shops you like, need not neccessary get from the shops they recommend. Usually prior to purchase it will be good to take a look at your pre-renovated place, take a ruler and start measuring. Ask your contractor or ID what is the maximum allowed space for a fixture to be placed at a location, for example: bathtubs come in 1500mm standard length, a toilet with a 1.6m width might not be able to fit it in due to the decreased width after the wall tiles set in. Your contractor will be able to advise you on all these. Another good thing to do is to ask the shop which you buy the fittings/fixtures from whether they will accept returned goods in exchange for another one with a different size. I believe that quite a number of shops do practice this. As for coordinating of deliveries, you can discuss with your ID/contractor to see whether he can help you while you are away from the renovated place. If not it will be good to take 1day off, and arrange all deliveries to come on that day. Usually it will be better if the owner is there lah imo, as should there be any problems you can ask them right away and usually they will provide a solution there and then. Really help to keep the renovation on schedule and lessen the amount of reworks and ill-feelings.

Hihi, Answer for my wife. No lah your qns not stupid. I also ask them 3-4months ago lolx. We use Patrick from Ho Bee, total damage 28k without fittings and furniture. Hmm for ID they will provide an overall concept design for the house with the ideas we give them. Contractors on other hand will do what we tell them, without much input on layout design or other stuff. They will though, provide realistic ideas on placement of switches, practical layouts of pipings etc. And ID is practically a project manager too. Heard from my friend who engage an ID that they will help manage delivery times from different sources too. For contractors sometimes we need to head to the house to receive all the lightings, bathroom fixtures etc. As for fitting them up, don't worry, both ID and contractor will provide the service for fitting the fixtures. An advice, if you prefer to participate fully in all the renovation stages, have time to spare and already have an overall idea/concept of what you want. A contractor is good. If not, ID is better, as ID will plan out everything for you, including lighting locations, switch locations, color scheme etc. Eg. Engage ID, ID will arrange a couple of sittings to discuss and get to know what you want. Then he/she will plan out a house/layout based on what input you give him/her. Usually 3D drawings will be used for better visualisation of the end-product. After further amendments on the initial draft, ID will proceed and manage the renovation as based on what is drafted in the design. Vice versa, engaging a contractor you will have to come out the design by yourself. Will need to know in which area of the house what color scheme, style you want, layout of your furniture, rough lighting positions, where to place toilet fittings, kitchen layout (as in what type of cabinets, amount of drawers, tall units, stove placement etc). After that the contractor will do whatever you told him to. Custom carpentry measurements you will have to provide too (rough estimates can too), usually during my house renovation I'll carry a meter rule to take measurements every now and then so that I'll know what kind of furniture/carpentry I will need. Hope it helps. :3

But watching anime you will miss out a lot in the storyline. Most of the anime come in 13, 26, 52 episodes. Not easy for them to cramp the entire storyline into the anime. Eg. Midori no Hibi anime is around 11-13episodes. The anime storyline only stop at book2 of the manga. Manga itself continues on to 8books total. Flame of Recca anime I think it stops after Cray's arc. The manga continues onwards (after that arc is book 16), to book 33 where it truly ends. In some anime the ending is also changed. Eg. Claymore.

Haulage mean clearing of debris, gathering them together and throw them away. Need manpower and transport costs thus most contractors will include them in. -
First one, a splash of color is good on a mono-theme.

Setting up the entertainment center of the house. Have alot of stuff to connect to the TV. PS3, PC, Hubstation. The modem, router and digital phone are located there too to provide wired access for both the PC and PS3. OMG at the wires. I hate wire management. Anyone got any good ideas on how to make this mess neat? Testing the net connection. Of course net testing cannot go without youtube and mysoju right? Wootz at watching youtube/mysoju on fullscreen
