  1. Hi ptbgal and skyblue, Thanks for your replies and comments. I learnt a lot from reading bot your T-blogs.. I'm meeting Mr K this weekend and I'll see how things goes. Hopefully all goes well. I'll update everyone again... Cheers
  2. Hi Everyone, I've recently spoke to Mr K from Ideal House. He was really prompt in his quotation. After discussing with him our requirements, he was able to come back with the revised floorplan and quotation in a week. The other IDs I've discussed were not even able to show me anything after 2 weeks. With all the above said, I would like to check with everyone here if it's possible that we can ask Mr K to bring us on site some of his current projects to view the workmanship before we sign with him? Thanks Cheers
  3. Hi beany0811, Thanks for your reply. I contacted Ideal Design and I spoke to Shawn. I'll be meeting him this Friday to discuss further. Will see if he's able to fit our requirements. Thanks again... Cheers
  4. Hi Benjamin, Thanks for your reply. The thinkness of Vinyl as compared to Laminates indeed an important factor to consider. Thanks.. Recently during a visit to an ID, the ID mentioned that Vinyl mentioned that Vinyl being rubber is definitely much more water resistant than rubber and hence the popping up of the surface is much less unlikely. However, he still recommends laminates as some laminates like Supreme have lifetime warranty so you can be rest assured that it can be changed. In addition, Laminates are more scratch resistant and the labour work to lay vinyl is more costly. With these pointers I think I would very most likely go with Laminates. Unless another ID tell me another story. Will keep everyone here updated... Cheers
  5. Hi Everyone, I very new to RenoTalk so hope to learn from everyone here.. I'm doing my ID hunt now and last weekend when I was at one ID, he recommended me to consider Vinyl flooring instead of Laminate flooring for my bedrooms. I Googled it and it seems some that some favor Vinyl while some favor Laminates. So now I'm not sure which is actually better. Anyone here have some personal experiences to share? Thanks..
  6. Hi Everyone, I'm a newbie here as i just got my 4rm Resale flat a month ago. I'm currently looking around for IDs to do up my place. I've been reading around Renotalk and it seems that Ideal Design Studio is well recommended. Appreciate if someone can PM me the contact of their recommended ID from Ideal Design so that I can contact him directly and make an apointment with him. Many Thanks in advance... Cheers NIL
