Juz moved in on e 1st wk of Jun but will be leaving pretty soon (planning mid or end oct) once our hse reno is done. Sad to say but I dun like my block or the block opp. And now they've putting up tentage on the empty field for the seventh month praying and worst the 'ge tai' is so near us....there's no way to have a pc of gd mind....n no tv time too....will be too loud to even hear anything frm the tv itself....wat to do...have to bear lor.

Hi All, Juz purchase a resale unit @Tanglin Halt Blk 34....final completion will be another wk or so. I'm realli looking forward to start off my renovation asap.....sick of staying in my rental unit here (even it's juz a veri short-term rental). Same prob, inconsiderate ppl r throwing tons of stuff from above everyday. So far, the aircon ledge outside my window has received hospital bill, cds, panties, empty cigarette box/butts, empty pizza box.....from which floor? Totally clueless.

it's a mix....the most ex quote come from a so-called high-end ID. Cos it will be doing for 2 houses....happen one of my gf oso got a resale flat 2 blocks away. So we went together to get quotes from ids/contractors. If price and design ok for two different house will be doing up two instead of one. But her will be starting later as she still yet to go for her 1st appt.

hi Angel, too bad....there will be no water feature @tat area. It will be cover wif a skylight instead to create the twinkle twinkle stars/milkway effect. We love jazz so will be playing my fav. Laura Fygi songs wif a bottle of nice wine and a little chit-chat.

no choice lor. dun tink will move liao (getting old oso) so we opt for something we love. Aft shifting out from our old hse (in early june) to the rented place now....we r starting to develop phobia on moving hse. Come to tink we need to shift again to our new hse.....scary. Tks so much~ we r going thru some quotes now but the price all realli killing. One quote me 56k not incl. windows and maindoor yet. The rest will be between 39k to 43k. Still trying to see how to squeeze down the price.

Oh yah.....will be one big bedroom. In fact, the current owner had alreadi knocked down one of the room and converted into a bigger living room. We juz need to hack down the wall in between the current bedroom and the living hall and partition up using full length black frosted glass with a new opening to the small little garden indoor for chill-out. Make it a more cozy place to stay in.

ic....my in-law stay at the 16 storey side....so my new place will be veri close to them. Good thing is we can go back often for her soup. We love Tiong Bahru too but too ex and not willing to spend so much on the COV.

But I don't realli like those packages cos all r veri basic design....for our case, we need to use lots of glass....so the price will be high. And we are looking for those natural cement/concrete lookalike tiles for the flooring on kitchen and living. Tat will be another headache search.

Thanks rierie We will be doing an overhaul for the whole place. So far the quotations we have received are all veri 'fantastic' price. Big headache now. Even with our veri own design the price is still so ex......seems like we have to increase our budget. For sharing, tis will be our new layout and design.
