When I first installed my air-conditioning. The contractors brings cupboards to box up the top of my doors to prevent cold air from flow out. May I know where can I buy this standard size wooden cupboards? someone quote me $50 to make them from me, I think is chop head!

wow the pricing is quite good compare to chant huat. I still have problem buying the ethernet cable as they only sell 300 meter per role, anyone can introduce me places where I can buy 50 meter or so only?

I need to buy the following 1) Different sizes trunking 2) Light and Switches casing and panels. 3) Wiring 4) Ethernet Cable + Sockets 5) Phone cables + Sockets I hope to get classy design for the casing and switches cheap too ^^ I'm doing re-wiring of my 30 year old room by myself.

Honestly I think what they did might not be morally agreeable BUT! Is their personal preference to hang their laundry(which ever type) outside as long it doesn't obstruct the main corridor or stairwells. honestly if you are having a budget. I suggest you drop the interior design idea.. Can I assume you are planning to stay at this flat for a long time since is near your mums? Maybe you want to consider focus on your budget on the following 1) Make sure all sides of the wall got 2 electrical point and the wires and hidden. 2) Every room have TV and phone point(if you are in IT) 3) pick a flooring that can stand the test of time. 4) plaster the whole flat. + sealant 5) ensure there are piping for aircon. 6) do the windows 7) ensure there are 2 lighting point in every room and 4 or more in the hall and kitchen If you are done this, in early stage of your house you can do renovating any other time in future and your house will still look nice. The problem with renovation work is, if your base is ugly you will have to spend a lot on patch up work..

I am using closet design, but I haven't install it yet as my room is undergoing a minor renovation.

5) I also engaged a worker for painting job (contact from my tiler). His pay is on daily basis. But same rules - I supply the paint etc. It's still cheaper than getting contractor. And contractor also earn commission from paint co. is his painting skills good and cost? I can supply paint and tools I am interested in this worker, as I don't trust contractor with my paints.. if this worker can do plastering, I am even more happy
