are u refering to full glass or glass w/ timber frame? i heard timber frame & tempered glass would cost ard $480

i have to been waiting for Yale $1188 to drop their price since last June. no doubt Yale is the leading Lock brand & blah blah blah... their digital lock seems to be very very ex!! can sm1 tell me y r they so ex?? Alantis, pls, i knw u go lots to tell abt gatemen, samsung & world is flat...

At that event, they giving away $88 yale voucher for any models purchased b4 CNY. but retail price nvr change, sianz.. How come they so steady 1, ppl selling all cheap cheap but they also nvr try to drop price. i'm very tempted to get tt $1188 model [even they say not more added cost] but i still feel i cant take out tt $$

Sorry to interrupt the samsung+gatemen bulk buy.. & just here to share w u. I called the Yale office this morning to inquire abt the Yale European mortice DDL. and they said 1 of their agents are doing sm promo or some kinda road show tomorrow @ Orchard Central Level 4 u may wanna chk tt out just for reference. i hv seen several Digital lock frm gatemen but d small mortice just didn't feel secure enuf for me. Thou price, i knw, is alot more expensive, but the larger mortice & mechanical key over-write really sounds like a feature samsung & gatemen is lacking. which eventually brings down to safety & security, which is my purpose to buy a lock. I also learned that those Yale locks are PSB approved, so i think its definitely safe&security for our local authority to approve. $1388 is really too much for Yale & im hoping to c if there is a better price @ the roadshow.

i was @ the lock shop yesterday. & i compared d 2. actual F100 versus Yale catalog. http://mpc.assaabloy.com/yalefile//Fetchfi...d=6756&dl=1 thou both look sama sama, Yale seems to have a larger locking mechanism "exactly like YDM3109" which i thk its more secure & safe compare to d smaller gateman. also, yalelarge enuf to replc d exisiting lock on d door. while gateman hv to patch up quite a significant size tt maybe ugly then also d key looks very high security i guess its gd to hv when u wanna turn it off when u go for holiday so no-one cn cm in even thy hv password. other than tt i thk its very ex for both $1300 or $1388. & my wife says d biometric pc is very much like her fujistu laptop swipe thing tt always spoil 1 so after much consideration, im planning to get YDM3109 with RFid cards thou. any ppl wanna join me for bulk buy? haha i knw this shop tt sell it @ $1,188 tt give me another $88 voucher. so maybe we can squeeze d shop for more discount.. haha..

paiseh paiseh ... Sorry for the unclear descriptions... what exactly happened during my purchase was... i called this lock shop & they ask me to email them d foto of the locks. [door+gate] after that, i make a trip down to their shop & they ofter a range of locks available & explains d features. they also taught me in their showroom on hw to change d lock myself. [which is VERY EZ only la.. even my mum cn do it, no point paying those locksmith to come to your house & pay them big$$$] i got a pair of Yale high security cylinders @ $45 each, which such models are sold @ $75 in outside shops. thus i thk its a gd lobang to share w u guys. Cos they are Cheap, Knowledgeable, friendly service shop. otherwise any other lock shop in ur neighbourhood also can la.. During the entire buying process "DO NOT REVEAL YOUR HOME ADDRESS!!!" Cos this IS D.I.Y & its CHEAP & EASY!! Worse come to Worst: since u gt d lock in hand liao, pass it to a locksmith or contractor on d spot then watch them change it infront of u immediately. so tt they got no opportunity for them to go duplicate it, so tt there is no monkey business.

Recently, i gotta hear abt someones home kena rob. They did sm minor renovation & after they move in for 1 mth to this new plc. And on 1 evening, after they come home from work, they realized that all valuables are missing... Bcos its a new estate, there were no witness cos no1 along d corridor is at home... The house owner claim there were no signs of force entry. Lucky no1 got hurt, u could imagine if they come armed in d middle of the nite.. scary... like stories u hear in M'sia.. I reckon that it could be an insider job.. prob contractors had duplicated the keys & knew d location quite well to carry this out flawlessly. My knowledge to share: I would recommend all new home owners to change their cylinders with a brand new set of keys once they started to move in & all contractors are out. I've done mine & i can sleep in peace @ nite.. Cylinders are the small component within d locks where you slot in d keys. its only a fraction of d cost of changing the whole lock. The cheapest will range from $20+ & if you wish to go for High-security keys, they are range from $45 onwards depending on brands & level of security. Some High-Security keys offer NON-DUPLICATE & some offers Restricted-Duplicate, which ensures that housemaids or tenants do not duplicate a extra set to pass ard to others.
