  1. I like your doors! How much were you quoted for them? Btw, congratulations on your wedding.
  2. Mickey! Just like cat, I just got back from HKG too. The husband bought something for our new kitchen (reno haven't start yet he has started collecting knick-knacks). Just realized they fit so well with your theme hor. Hehe.
  3. I think you have a really nice house!
  4. Yeah that's a really long hiatus =) You guys must be excited to finally convert it into your dream home. Good luck on the reno. I'm still waiting for my reno permit.
  5. Thanks. Think I'm gonna get my service balcony painted in this as we are not tiling it up. Save cost.
  6. Hi Ripples, noticed that your powder room isn't tiled. Is that paint? If it is, what type is that? Btw, you have a really lovely home.
  7. Hi dmay, $300 per door is expensive. I was quoted $360 for 2 doors. And usually there's a 'panel' in the middle for you to pull and push. But that's usually the kind with 4 glass panels.
  8. Danny, thanks. Haven't been to the White Collection before but there's one along Bukit Timah too I think.
  9. Hi macbart, such a centralized location. Good buy! And those blocks definitely do not look like they're 39 years old. Guess they've been upgraded yeah.
  10. Hello Chinchye, It's because that window is going to be at my service balcony. Originally there are 2 doors but previous owner sealed up one without making room for a ventilation window.
  11. Hi Simon, thanks. Pics will have to wait for now. Reno haven't start yet..hehe. Btw, I love your place, especially your red and white kitchen.
  12. Will get contractor to include in the kitchen design
  13. Looks big yeah. I think because there's nothing yet. Hehe. But this is one of the smaller EAs that I have viewed. Kitchen and toilet have to go. If you guys noticed, the common toilet does not even have a ventilation window. I wonder how they kept the mold at bay. We're gonna hack a window there.
  14. My 2 cents worth. Too much white makes it look too clinical. Not cosy enough. But the layout is quite nice though.
  15. Angel, thank you for the tip. We're gonna have a standalone oven so must tell the contractor about it. I don't want it to take up space on the counter top.
  16. Yeah true. Must save cost where we can. Hehe. I intend to have something like this in my service balcony for rinsing of clothes because from my layout, there's no toilet access near the washing machine. Thought of buying off the shelves because contractor quoted 970 for sink, tap, solid top and cabinet. Still thinking about it.
  17. Hi hourstyle, yup intend to give the contractor a bit more time. Afraid if I rush him then turnout won't be so good.
  18. Congrats!! Nice to have such understanding sellers.
  19. CJ, Your old house is sooo beautiful and I'm sure your new house will be as nice. Very good location too. Agree with Ann, might as well buy new fridge unless you plan to hack the cabinet.
  20. Your blue hob is so unique. Seriously haven't seen anything like it. Will be waiting to see the transformation of the house.
  21. I like the black sofa. The shape is so retro looking. Mind sharing where and how much? TIA.
  22. I like what you have chosen for the balcony. The single basin with storage is also very nice.
  23. This reno thing is actually very nerve wrecking. We wanted to coordinate all on our own at first but we found the house too late and we had to wait 12 weeks for 1st appointment. In the end, only got the keys 2 weeks ago instead of in October (if HDB had given us 5 weeks waiting time to 1st appt). So very limited time to do planning. Planned to move in by end of the year but I think will have to drag to January. The search for the house began in May and we did consider famous contractors in RT like Ah Soon, Mr Yeak and Jason. But as the day to my key collection drew near, these people became extremely busy. I hope my reno will be as smooth sailing as some of yours Thank you for welcoming me to RT also.
  24. I love EMs. However DH doesn't like because he is afraid his boys will tumble down the stairs. We viewed 1 EM but location was not very good. We don't really store much things actually. Only that, at first I thought it would be a waste of space not extending the kitchen cabinet to L shape.
  25. Thanks CJREDDEVIL. Yup, simple reno. Basically it's just the toilets, kitchen and service balcony. But add here and there amounts to nearly 27k and I didn't even get to change all my windows Bo pian if not overbudget already.
