Still looking for ID or contractor. Am shortlisting a few. Prefer contractor though, coz ID can be a bit on the high side. Valuation was 375k. Bought it at 360k.

Hi folks, Have been reading the various experiences of the forummers for a while. Have gone through my 1st appt and waiting for 2nd appt end Oct. I am considering the following type of reno. Can anyone who have done anything similar be able to share with me how long will it approximately take to complete the reno? 1. Bedrooms (x3) - Hack and retile (homogeneous tiles) - False ceiling and some downlights 2. Living room - Hack and retile (homogeneous tiles) - False ceiling and some downlights 3. Kitchen - Hack and retile flooring and wall tiles. - Kitchen cabinet 4. Bathrooms (x2) - Hack and retile flooring and wall tiles. - Change toilet bowls and box up pipes - Install new shower and instant water heater 5. Painting (whole house) - approx size of house is 113 sqm 6. Change Doors - Bedrooms (x3) - Toilets (x2) (glass door) - Main door - Kitchen (glass door) 7. Install new aircon 8. Change lighting No other carpentry to be done. Window grilles remain status quo. Any estimates for timeframe? What kind of budget (excluding aircon and lighting) should I be looking at for the above, assuming I am using a contractor instead of an ID? Thanks in advance for your sharing LV

Its a normal door...just that the hinge is at the centre, instead of the sides. It can be rotated clockwise or anti-clockwise.

WIth the remaining roll, do a few more of the artwork and sell it to the forummers....lol...

Err...if its invincible, how do you know its there? Are the grills strong enough to prevent a break-in? I mean...thats one of the main purpose of having grilles in the first place.

Sorry to ask. But why does it say "Battery Operated" ?

Nice glass doors. Was just wondering....instead of sliding doors, will it cost a lot more if I want it to be sensor based? Like those in shopping centre type. When I want to walk into kitchen, the door automatically open and after I go in to kitchen, door automatically close. LV

You may want to consider putting: 1. Pictures along the wall. 2. Shoe cabinet. 3. Settee so that you can put on your shoes comfortably. 4. Revolving door at the entrance to the living room. Can be glass or wood or other type. Just a suggestion LV
