Hi , I wondering how come you already paid Ah Soon in Full even thou the reno has not complete? Normal pratice is first 10% for design , hacking , apply permit .... then 40% only pay when materials came in , tiling and flooring done and so on ........ My half cents worth .... Mybe have to give him some Legal pressure like lawyer , CASE. No choice even if things turn nasty . Maybe I suggest best to existing Sooner , if u can etc pay the % when carpentry is done, i believe is safer.

No kids no problem , with kids big problem. My kid do their drawing on the wall, play toy on the flooring . Now I put a carpet and ask them to play on the carpet else I will faint.

marble need a look of care. It shine will easily last for 10 yrs if care is taken, mine when i sold my hse is already 13 yrs. New owner take over said that the contrator advise no need to polish as the shine is still there. As for Granite I think e contractor is Bull ****. India Make is expensive due to colour tone and texture , like blue pearl . Granite is Porious so regardless where is it from is will absorb water.

Ans base from what I know 1) Use Terra Care can get from NTUC, Stone Care Lab from HomeFix. Not more than 20$ ber bottle. If not use normal warm water to mop , very effective. 2) Better not even thou Granite is very strong 3) Depends on the care taken. I think if care is taken it should not scatch. Hack off the flooring before laying parquet is the best. After hack then lay cement , then parquet . Woooo powerful when stepping on it.

For knowledge contractor, Laying of Parquet is best to hack off the floor for more bettering feeling when stepping on it. Unless it is laminate then it will be ok for overlaying.

Not really first come first serve. It depend on many sub con he has. My ID has taken up a few projects from my friends, all has workers working on it , no delay , no waiting queue. 1 of my friend sign on the dotted line on Sunday, the next follow Monday, workers came and start hacking.

I wonder wat if after HO after a few months if there is tiles damaged or leakage , where u need to claim warranty dun know how fast Soon will response ?

There is a unit at my block also reno , think already 3 months liao still not complete wonder is it Soon's cilent. 2 days there are ppl working on it then 3 weeks dun see any works going on.

Wow u hack away the wall between the living and dinning rm. Do u need to engage QPE to endose ? Mine also hack away but need QPE to endose and oversee the whole hacking process.

Wah 60k ? That very high leh. Think usually they quote very high but have press it down . Dun think is lucky , even afew of my friend's quote also quite near to mine.
