anyway, glad tt our reno is finally over and so is our actual day wedding finally sigh of relief! oh ya, for those who are still in e process, jia you!

ha ha ha, smartie is being practical hmm, our white sofa, dining chairs etc not easy to maintain esp in the long term ......... it will be a challenge.

hmm, updates on our part.......... our official ho was finalised on sat, 26 July 09 after all with minor rectifications. we are happy to be able to shift in our stuffs finally:p now, we are busy with the making of the dog kennel and final preparations of our wedding this coming sunday! okie, we will update the photos if we are able to squeeze in some time.

friday came and went................... ho date cannot be fulfilled again! we are getting married on 2 aug, our original ho date supposed to be by 30 June 2009. it almost another month after our original date........... what's wrong with the project mgt ability of alan???? to delay by another month???? it's definitely above my threshold limit liao i had enough of listening to excuses to delay a few days, followed by another few days and followed by another few days............. no more excuses, period. alan k forget about collecting any further payment if he dun meet my dateline.

it's been quite awhile since our last update. no choice as no work has been done for quite awhile last week also. latest pictures on the carpentry work :

To add on to what pridilaw has said, the system the contractor used is farrell from preference, model no SLF400. http://www.preference.com.sg/cms/index.php...2&Itemid=34 They are using 12mm thick glass instead of 10mm for obvious reason.

ha ha ha, i was dealing with alan n uncle all these while. as my art failed in sec sch, didnt tok much when pridilaw told me the design did not follow correctly. when i met ah di during the day, he told me everything was ok, i also believed him and didnt doubt him since i didnt bring pridilaw's design and verified against it. i was pretty cordial and nice to ah di during the few times i met him. after we discovered the 'patch up' tv console, didnt see him face to face yet. no lah, i wont quarrel with him also lah. just hope that he can do a good job this time round and it will be a win-win situation for both parties

hmm, along the way we encountered various problems with the reno........... Uncle Soon asked his workers to hack away our wall tiles wrongly, Alan asked the workers to hack our skirtings wrongly too..... both admitted it's their faults and we worked things out. we also do not want to have further problems to delay our ho dates again & again. if it is not the fact that the 'patch up' tv console is simply unacceptable, we would not ask the carpentry work to be stopped. for the wardrobe portion, we are not asking him to tear down everything and redo despite knowing that there bound to be 'damages' liao. what we cant stand is his attitude, period! when confronted by uncle and alan on the tv console, kept arguing that it is very secure! oh pls, no point arguing!!!! keke, with digital camera, u guys can judge for yourself with the thickness of the boards used and the 'patch work' he done compared to those done by ah wei! well, end of the day, with evidence produced, he can argue all he want but to no avail.

hmm, bo bianz, i think uncle raised price a bit as he's too popular liao! he also need to earn mah my fren who asked him to quote also received higher quote so tt's why i noe.

yup, my plastering also done by 2 china guys. halfway thru, only left one............ pulled by uncle for someone else's house i think i had the same fear about their workmanship in the beginning now that mine's all completed, i would think their plastering is not bad, up to standards hmm, at least for mine..............

thanks to all for the encouragement! we told alan just now already and emailed him the pictures and the initial drawing. hmm, endure a bit more cos it's the last leg of the reno process loh.

hi booy, we got the same problem as you! after installing the fittings, the tiles around felt quite hollow. did you get them to change for you???
