Anyone know who is Alan and whether he is Uncle's worker or Uncle sub to him? Uncle gave me the quote for the folding glass wall but must wait till finalise then counted. Alan alan, dunno if it is such a good thing after all......................

Hmm, just a rough layman's description of what we intend to do : Replace front door and sliding windows with bifolding aluminum powder coated doors with one window. To cover up part of the spaces in between neighbours. To have a storage place below the staircase with feature wall and tv console. To hack and retile living room area. To hack and retile kitchen area. To hack walls of the guest room and wall of the dining area. To have foldable glass walls instead for guest room * This is the complicated part whereby uncle soon keep quoting and requoting and yet to finalise...... To have glass swing door for kitchen and fixed glass panel above half of wall. To modify existing kitchen cabinet. To change the worktop for kitchen cabinet. To add anti-slam hinges to existing kitchen cabinet. To modify size of first floor toilet. To change to motorised opening of roofing at kitchen. To hack part of some walls at second storey to reconfigure layout. To have a bath tub, shower area and wash basin at the toilet. To build a 10ft wardrobe. To lay laminated flooring for 2 rooms at the second storey.

thank u yeah, we are all getting married in aug! but currently busy with our newly adopted puppy and the upcoming reno to prepare for the wedding our place is located near windsor hotel, not the circuit road area (which is nearer to serangoon ). as we are not doing any structural changes, definitely much easier than hdb. hmm, i contacted uncle soon before getting my keys but he asked me to call him after that. after i collected my keys, it's about 3 weeks before start of reno (assuming we can start tomorrow) is that consider fast to settle with uncle? we think it's quite slow already since the house is vacant for 3 weeks while we are already paying for property tax etc.

Finally met up with uncle soon this morning to finalise today Total damage, 38.4k for everything! He said to start work on thursday. For that, I am keeping my fingers cross still............

Since unable to confirm with uncle soon yet, let me blog about what I bought............... On average, outdoor wooden deck cost around 1k plus for the space that we wanted Cost savings solution! We bought solid wood floor tiles at $4.90 each Total tiles required, 200 plus only............... No need to hack floor, just overlay. Hi, Could anybody comment on what is the best fridge to get for the best value for money, it's durability and energy efficiency? Ideally, we would like to have a fridge with ice-making capabilities...but not sure how practical it is. Would appreciate any help! Thanks!

thanks regarding the comment on the gate huh, the toilet is pretty long but narrow............ we are reconfiguring the layout for the second storey. pple in the past want to minimise the amount of space for toilet but times haf change!

ohhh maybe he fainted after receiving my call in the evening. I press him for my mil's quote... he has been hatching it for like more than a month.. hatch until now no sound no picture... so i tell uncle to help me if not my mil will nag me to death... he sounded as if it was really tough to set time aside to give me that quote... and i can understand lah cos so many others also waiting for him to quote. Alrite, uncle soon called and said the price quoted could be done! He will try to pass me the quotation for me to sign........ (keep my fingers cross first since he's so busy)
