We bought more things actually. We bought a rain shower set without mixer from universal union at geylang after visiting jalan besar stretch. Thanks to booy, or else we dunno about the geylang stretch selling bathroom stuffs also I read somewhere in the forum that the most important component of the rain shower set is actually the mixer. If you cant beat them, join them............... That's why we decided to get the hansgrohe package (mainly for the mixer) after all. Today, we saw the lorenzo sale. We bought the $299 sofa bed We are considering getting magnum's toilet bowl. Anyone currently using this brand of toilet bowl???

2 tilers came to tile my house on saturday. Maybe after they had done your place. I already found some hollow tiles even though it's not even done yet. One tiler did it slowly but pretty alright. The other tiler did very fast but after I checked today using twenty cents coin, a lot of them hollow!!!!!

I am new to the macpherson neighbourhood. Do recommend nice food around that area Yup, quite tiring with the shopping for bathroom stuffs, furnitures etc besides the reno and guests' list for the wedding dinner.

Pcitures of the 3 seater set from navinzi. However a bit of imagination is required. It's the cream white colour 3 seater + 3 head rest But the head rest in the picture is red colour! Ours is the same colour of course........... Oh, it's not easy to choose a set of sofa as my wtb n I are of different height! We literally need to try and compromise on something that is comfortable for both of us.

Ha ha ha, that's what we want I think 40L should be enough but joven only got 35L, then 50L. Ariston got 40L but the price is about the same as joven 50L. We still looking for our rainshower set. It is quite amazing the number of stuffs to buy besides the renovation costs. Hmm, a lot of stuffs we also didnt buy 'branded' still adds up to a fair bit in the end. Ha ha ha, it's quite nice to look at hansgrohe though. There are good IDs and there are not so good IDs. There are good contractors and there are not so good contractors. I also think it's not appropriate to make any sweeping statement. Anyway, I am glad that Uncle Soon is the responsible type It's one thing to read about someone from the internet and from experiencing it yourself.

Thanks for the concern! I am glad that things turn out fine after all. But the thought that it's just the beginning of renovation kind of freak me out. Let's just hope that things will be smooth sailing from now onwards

Update on the wrongly hacked wall tiles : I met up with Alan today to show him the wrongly hacked wall tiles........... After checking with his workers, he confirmed that it's their fault to do it. He suggested to plaster and paint for me. Of course I requested for them to replace my wall tiles since it's their fault. Alan was not able to make such a decision. He asked me to call Uncle instead. I spoke to Uncle Soon. He agreed to replace my wall tiles. However, he requested that I topped up some $$$ whatever amount I am comfortable for it. I was like you want me to top up $$$ for it? I told Uncle Soon that I would like to discuss with my wtb before confirming with him. I called up Uncle Soon to inform him that since it's their fault, why should we top up any $$$ for it? He was very 'shuang guai'. He said he would just replace it then. I told him I knew that their profit margin is pretty low. Since we wanted to do one board to cover up one side of my neighbour which he quoted us $350, he just do it for us instead. Conclusion : To replace the wall tiles, it would definitely eat into his profit margins by quite a bit. However, if it is to do up the board, the cost would be much lower since the material cost is low. For us, we don't mind since we hacked the wall between the dining and the living area. The wall tiles are only on the dining side. So it's a win win situation

We are very much in the same situation. Ours 02 Aug. All wedding plans put on all first till midway through the reno I can understand familyof4's stress, small boy's reno fatigue in chasing rectifications, your anxiety on the reno......... Forum is a wonderful thing! We get to share our experiences with those going through the same thing as us.

Actually come to think of it, since Uncle Soon is so busy, it maybe a good idea to let Alan handle the project management instead as long as the quotation is still done by Uncle Read from growler's blog http://ourhome-rejuvenation.blogspot.com/2...eph-bo-geh.html about the relationship between Bo Gek, Alan and Uncle. Since Alan is also working under Uncle Soon, things should be pretty much the same bah. Keeping my fingers cross.............. They will come to my house to hack tomorrow after yours is done I think.
