  1. grace: Congrats on choosing Edmund. Look forward to see your lovely home Btw, it's true to have full HD TV for gamers esp. for > 40in sized. That's the reason I got a 52" in full HD though I'll game most of the time in my study room. In case of times when I expect visitors, I'll drag my PS3 out in the living hall for mass gaming orgy Chipee: Patience pays off... trust me... don't overly rush Edmund & he will do wonders for you..... KSJL: Look forward to your house warming manz!!! I'm pretty sure it's quite niceeeeee now Jooseng: Great.... Looks like this is a Edmunders' thread here hur.... all Edmund's customers seem to be leeching on Grace's thread now. hhahahahah .....
  2. Sis, I'm happy for you that the strong tide is finally over... Enjoy moving in now....
  3. Sis, I strongly believe that the initial tile grouting done by P@D is of shoddy job, which causes the black cement to be seen after acid wash. Regular mopping over time will also do similar damage eventually. In this aspect, I personally felt that it's either (1) owner will pay for grouting job to be done, or (2) contractor does it for you OUT OF GOOD WILL. To DIY- Get grouting powder (colors to choose from)... mix it proportionally with water, followed by application on the joint lines. Wipe off excess to achieve an even line & allow it to dry overnight. As for the varnishing, you may want to check if polishing was done after the varnish coat. Most probably, polish was not done yet, which causes the second varnish coat application to wrinkle since you already have an initial coat on previously. For my place, I do encounter hiccups, like you do & as what I've stated in my end of reno review, with Edmund & I felt those are not "end-of-the-world" problems, which are not solvable. I am rather taken aback by your reaction as to me, no renovation will sail 100% perfectly. For the price vis-a-vis workmanship, I think it's a decent deal afterall. That's why all along I have told you to source out others for comparison with the same wish items in place.
  4. Oh, that costs $500+ after discount. If the darkening in color is not due to staining, then it could be that HDB may have done a lousy job when they grout your tile joint lines... Could the acid washing have removed the grouting unknowingly? I'm not sure though. For my tiling, after acid wash by Edmund's workers after completion, the grouting did not change color like your case. Probably, consider to do the grouting again? Can DIY if you wish to save $.
  5. Sis, bought the sofa from LUSH @ 2k odd. Sourcing one which we love both it's look and price takes time. Happy hunting
  6. relatively ok. Can just use vacuum cleaner to remove dust from fan blades and cover if you do it often. Else just unscrew to access to the blades.
  7. Yeah... Hurry go! Let me know also whether it's selective or full range on 50% ok

Hi hqx, How bad is it? Based on your post, I can only say you are either one of his ex customers who truly encounter bad workmanship or you are just one of the market competitors around. Maybe you can share more to justify your stand... The roller blinds as well as frosted window film @ my place was done up by Jason. Check out my blog to see what Jason has done for me. Workmanship, in my own opinion, is good. Let pic does the judgement than purely talk only.
  9. Yeah do agree with you... it really brings out the living area Hi chipee, Great to hear from you again! Thanks for your comments..... yeah, the fan is quite nice & not too bad for its power adjustable from 1 to 3. We wanted to have the cosy feel whenever at home, which explains the initial desire to have the whole place revamped. As what you have mentioned Oh... sounds cool for its price Maybe gg down later to check it out Btw, not to forget, how's your reno getting along? Set a blog, sis!
  10. Yeah it's a bit high priced for a 3 seater though. But we love the design & softness of the sofa. Yeah, finding nice standing fan is a headache till I spotted this fan during pump fill. alternative will be tower fan but maintenance is difficult for tower fans.
  11. hi blinklash, the 3 seater sofa costs 2k odd. It's in full leather.
  12. hi Simon, thanks the twiggy yields the highest damage of all broke Liao. Haha
  13. Will take frontal pic when rug & coffee table arrive. Meantime, looking out for throw cushions
  14. thanks samgalz Fan power is gd; only drawback is no remote control.
  15. Thanks butterfingerzz Now, can't wait for my rug & coffee table to arrive to have the whole layout completed The Eames chair costs us $500+ from Xtra, if not wrong. If you keen, can go Xtra & check it out for latest pricing Waaa bro, surprised to see you back again Thanks man!!! Yeah jonana... we love the Magis stools at first sight... During the hunt, we saw so many types of bar stools, but just have the Magis in our heart. No choice but to bite our teeth to get the original one as the replicas we saw are poorly made to last... The fan is FOC as I've redeemed for it with my reward points @ Caltex, which was selling @ $99 for it at that time. Best Denki has this 3-head model now cos' I just saw it @ Vivo Branch earlier

  19. Hi Goobii, thanks for your advise !!!
  20. Basically, it's not the color... Guess you felt it's too plain to be appealing.... Personally, I think it looks ok & what you can do is maybe get some loose decals and deco it up. Will look better, who knows! It looks nice esp. the detailing for the bookshelf... Can't really see clearly on the woodgrain details. P/S: The quality of your pics taken are quite bad & the fact that you din resize the pics makes the viewing even difficult....
  21. Hi, Jason provides the material with installation. Mine costs around 200. It's non see through. PM me if you want his contacts. Cheers
  22. Had Jason to install frosted stickers today on those windows facing the corridor. Overall very nicely done up.
