  1. bro, nice touch of minimalist design. Btw, no bed frame in mtr bedroom? Mind if I ask how much u pay for your Eames & Magis doggie?
  2. Century Warehouse @ Pasir Panjang.
  3. No prob butterfingerzz... Oh... we haven't got our dining set yet... but most or less decided to go on customising our dining table & getting upholstered chairs from LUSH/Lorgan. Off-the-rack dining table we seen so far either doesn't fit the dimension or design/finishing we want If you just looking for chairs, I suggest you must visit Lorgan after LUSH before making your decision on where to get your precious
  4. I prefer LUSH @ Paya Lebar, but their kim keat branch apparently carries more range for chairs. I got my other furniture from LUSH at their paya lebar branch though, as I felt that chairs (those of normal seat height, not lounge type) are of better quality built in Lorgan. Hope I din confuse you In fact, many places sell similar products at varying prices. But, my wife and myself are quite choosy with the quality built even though they are reproduction. Additional info: LUSH furniture comes from China while Lorgan furniture (repro) comes from Thailand. Lorgan does stock original vintage ones e.g. panton, Eames, etc. Last but not least, note that not all are consistently good (i.e. price vs quality) in one single shop. Above are just our personal opinion after observing closely & sitting on them. So, don't flame me hor if you think otherwise.
  5. Other than the kitchen & toilets, I love its existing industrial ook at current. Minimum reno needed le!
  6. I opted out of those office chairs with castor wheels due to laminated flooring & felt they are quite out of place in my study room, other than their comfortability which I contemplated initially LUSH has a new Woods collection. Some are really cool! As for Lorgan, it has a mixture of vintage and modern retro furniture. Not-to-be-missed shop! haha And yes, go check out V.Hive as they have really some cool & reasonably priced office chairs there. Cos' I went to their Funan Branch last weekend after my shopping @ Harvey Norman.
  7. Yoz bro CJ, Yes, in fact we are very pleased as no hiccups so far. Will surely post more pics when progress is more ya Yeah butterfingerzz, quality of the furniture @ LUSH is reasonably good for its price. Another two companies which is worth recommending are Lorgan & Evov Living. However, we skip Evov after comparing prices. Anyway, I've gotten 2 Eames chairs for my study room & 1 wall mounted mini "Arco" lamp from Lorgan last weekend. hehe.
  8. Day 44-51 In Progress Pardon the pinkish spot due to cam's flash. Living room ceiling completed in white paint finish... Rest of the rooms' ceiling also completed... White & Clean look Living & Kitchen wall color to be painted with ICI Swansdown... Can't really see actual color from the pic but definitely NO regrets going with Edmund's recommendation for my wall color Currently, the worker is putting first color coat on (Sealer all done up)... Was told that painting will be completed this Thurs.
  9. My study table depth will be 550mm... guess will be more than enough for my gaming session Do let me know the review of the exp mop k? Cos' quite keen after seeing their demo video
  10. Yo bro, Reason cos' we got a king sized bed & some space also taken up by our wardrobe. Thus, getting a storage bed frame will compromise our walking space & bed side table.
  11. Nice bed with storage spaces... Pity I can't get one due to space constraint Btw, I think I've seen before LED downlight which comes in warm white color. Does agree that warm white will enhance more @ the wine corner
  12. Day 38-43 Continuation progress as of today... all revealing good False ceiling @ TV area False ceiling @ Dining area Box up to level wall @ Master Bedroom Box up @ window area to cover ugly aircon railway track linking out to outdoor unit Ceiling reinforcement set up for kitchen tempered sliding glass
  13. Sorry dude, I am unable to... (read my earlier post)... paiseh paiseh
  14. Hey butterfingerzz, thanks for the advise! Yea, I have mentioned to my contractor on what I want as well as concern on the durability of the table. He will be doing some metal reinforcement plus thick wood to prevent it from 'sagging' after years of usage. Wow, mop costs 200+!!! A bit exp hor Thanks for the link... Will go check it out!
  15. Off topic though. For such S/S toilet & kitchen fittings, try Kris or Wel-Mi. They have lifetime warranty against rust. Have used their products & they are really good. No signs of rust after years of usage.
  16. Yea, the "kan-cheong spider" lesson learnt affected me too. Lucky for me, the lighting shop allowed us to cancel the order for our dining light cos' we saw one of better design @ another place. All humans are same. hahahaha.
  17. Hi Pomme, Enjoy now and worry later When I see your blog initially, all seem to be in place except for ... I agree with your doubts, the bar stools. Slightly out of place from the overall. It's the color, not really the design. Just my personal view hor, don't get offended Thanks, my reno is going very well ... we aren't in a hurry thus will probably be fully moving in aft CNY period. Merry X'mas to you & family too!!!
  18. Hey CJ, I was about to reply a msg in your blog to wish you Merry X'mas! haha... You have a prosperous year ahead in coming 2010 ya Reno is going quite smoothly... No hiccups from Edmund so far.... Today is still doing the ceiling works. CHeers!
  19. Butterfingerzz, your place is very neatly done up. Have the clean & sleek look! I am also going to have one long study table similar as yours... or gaming table if you can call it... against the window in one of my bedrooms too. Btw, mind to PM me how much is the leifheit mop? I'm looking for something that is better than those traditional ones which are purchased from those neighbourhood shops.
  20. Wow... Pomme, I normally see 3rm flats @ Tanglin Halt quite old skool Yours really stand out like a gem
  21. Hi butterfingerzz Hahaha... When we were at the showroom, there's a young lady who greeted us. So much better than LUSH (their staff are quite snobbish esp. to first time customers), where I nevertheless purchased some of my furniture there mainly cos' of their price vs quality (My wife works in a designer furniture firm; so she tells me which quality is better; I'm noob in this... haha). Guess you guys gotta be early getting down to comfort, than trying your luck hur Hi Pomme, Thanks for ur kind comments Yea, the croc tiles are pretty interesting, caught my sight immediately during tile selection. It's smooth but uneven texture. wonder if you get me? Ur house is really cool too!!! Nice selection of stuff matching
  22. Haha... cos' inside are 2 bath mixers, 2 basin mixers & 1 kitchen mixer.... all thrown into this carton box
  23. Day 38 False ceiling & works for necessary areas to be boxed up starts today Whole process will take a few days, stretching to next Mon/Tues since Fri is PH & no works allowed during weekends. Merry X'mas to all house owners out there
  24. Bro, thanks... I've learnt something new today.
  25. Yeah spot on bro. GC advised me not to as trunking distance will be too long thus affecting efficiency of the aircon in bedroom 3. Condensation may set in over time too.
