Hi gantan, I guess your contractor was trying to take a shortcut by not informing you in advance before the works are conducted. Mine informed me straightaway after taking exact measurement on site. My kitchen upper cabinet on top of the sink area could not have equal length as I wanted the alum. door to flush with the length of my kitchen sink. As consumer point of view in renovation, we hate surprises when they turn out awkward in our eyes. If you really find it a sore, either demand the last 5% as compensation or ask them to redo (highly not possible I believe). Good luck dude

Sis. GAB quoted $450. As I don't really need steam function, I will most likely get his little brother GD579.

Yeah, such loose furniture can do it slowly. Buy with our heart If you and ur hubby really love the bedside table, should just get it if it doesn't stretch your budget that much. Sometimes, original piece, than reproduction, is worth the extra cost, if you put them side by side. Lorgan also sells the Eames Hang-it-all but reproduction piece. We decided to pay a bit more to get the original in the end. For us, we opted out of wallpaper as we are afraid of losing attention over time. To remove them is a heavy chore. Wall decals are still not too bad. The carpenters under my contractor are quite good and experienced. Feel free to let me know if you wish to consider them. Or you can try back your previous carpenter if you like their works? Do take some pics once you have tidied up the place ya

Hi Zio, I ordered mine with a guy named Jason. No shop based. Samples all viewed @inside his van. On-site FOC quotation at no obligation. His works include residential and commercial areas. If not wrong, Liang Court was one of his past projects. Price wise, he gave me the lowest quote after my 'hunting' session. Workmanship wise, I can't tell you now as he has not installed mine yet. My friend, who has tried him, sweared by his works though. Jason will be doing the installation latest by early next week. If you can wait, drop by my blog to check it out... Will post pics once my blinds are fully up.

No prob nacho. Btw, GS597 can steam, too. The bottom right hand corner of the oven holds a water container for steaming function.

Hahahahahha... good question. After the discount, the price starts from $340, depending on which design you pick. Leather ones will cost more. Originally, we saw one @ Ikea, which looks & feels nice. But I got a shock when I see its price tag. $600!!! So, I think for 50% off at current promotion @ LUSH is quite a steal for its range.

Only Blum Aventos HL is installed @ the alum. door. Edmund supplies those soft closing hinges & hydraulic pulls but from another brand, not Blum. Personally, I tested it & it works similarly. Makes no sense for me to pay additional separately, just for the more popular brand "Blum" since his quote already includes all the soft closing stuff. hehehe. Yes, he did tell me he doing similar soft closing type for you. If you like Blum stuff, you must tell him to get & pay him separately. He got mine @ amazingly good price. That's why we din hesitate to ask him get 2 pcs. haha. So much better than what was quoted to me from Blum dealer @ Upper Bukit Timah.

It's cream in color and semi gloss finish. I've forgotten the code liao, but the laminate name is clear glacier. I just love the woody & glacier combination. When the cabinet is opened up, inside has wood grain finish as well, which complements the whole overall effect. Don't quite like inner white finish. That's why you see all my carpentry, it has non-white interior. Rem. to specify to Edmund what you want. Just a reminder: once the carpenters done it up @ factory side, it might be abit too late for any changes. So, finalise your wants and let go during your meet up session with Edmund. Though we all know that money can solve all problems. The Hang-it-all is installed @ Master Bedroom. Why will I want it to be at the kitchen collecting oil stains?! Hahaha If not wrong, I think it's the last piece le. keke.

You may want to take a look at Panasonic GS597, which has both grille & bake function. It's currently one of my choices.

Realised I have not posted the full layout of my kitchen cabinet. Preview w/o granite top & glass backing Edmund had asked his workers to laminate the area around the kitchen sink for "double protection" against water penetrating the wood cabinet before the granite worktop is installed. Whole area around the sink was subsequently filled with silicon for securing as well as waterproofing. Pic was taken before this was done up.

Hi gantan, Your kitchen color combination is quite similar to mine... just that my worktop & glass backing is black. Seriously, I feel that your kitchen cabinet is absolutely fine aesthetically. Don't despair ya. It's really looking nice

Oh, no wonder you mention yours is small. Anyway, small also good when it comes to maintenance. Seriously, if your household is small, I personally feel your size is good enough.
