Hi Chipee, No worries on that Edmund may not be the cheapest in town, but one thing for sure, he wun "chut" any alibaba pattern during the renovation. Rest assured that he will get things done for you. Go for it! It's nice! Makes the whole place bigger & it's not as "loud" as using clear mirror. Edmund gives 1 yr warranty for his works. Wear & tear will be borne by owner, which is quite standard. Anyway, within or over warranty period, just give him a call... he will get it done for us He's a man of his words... My colleague, who intro Edmund to me, has been with him for close to 10years liao. His coming 2nd house, a condo, will be done by Edmund after CNY

Hi infinitie, Thank you for your kind comments Reno is both time & money consuming... Plan out all your wish items & start to get quotations after CNY for comparison (My advise is don't just compare the price; request to see their showflats) When comes your time, do bear in mind to take it easy. Get a good contractor to help lessen your stress load. Rem. to set up a blog by then ya.... Yah, now all done up except furnishing liao.... You will have your time. After you back from CNY period, the pace will be going fast. The carpenters just take 4 days on average to assemble everything. Me work till this Fri but on leave today to receive delivery.

Bro, check your mail

Hi Clementi_PR, My contractor supplied the tinted mirror. It's around 3.8m (L) x 1m (W).

Jason had installed the roller blinds today. Pics are up! Those who are keen to try him out can check out @ my blog. Personally, I think workmanship is

Preview of tinted mirror across the wall leading to unit. Curtain specialist, Jason, came to install the roller blinds today. Workmanship is good Preview of one section @ living hall. Material used is slight see-through. Close up on blind material which has texture on it. Preview of non-see through blind used @ Master Bedroom. Love this one the most cos' only one piece is used to cover the whole window Preview of blind @ Study Bedroom Tomorrow will be delivery for LCDs & HTS, kitchen appliances, dining table, kitchen breakfast glass top & storeroom boltless rack. Another bzzzz day

No lah, me not expecting & doesn't want any comm. from him as long as he gives me a good job completed end of the day. Haha. What I can do is to give my personal frank opinion of his works @ RT. Will not be over-promoting him also. Anyway, he will most likely be doing for my personal friend @ Henderson after CNY. He likes his works too & finds his price reasonable after viewing my place last week. Also a major overhaul.

Yes. Below is my frank opinion on Edmund & his workers: Tiling: Tiles are laid very well. No uneven surface & hollow sound encountered. Grouting lines are also uniform. Only complain is one of the tiles got a very light 20-cent sized stain when close view. Since it is not that obvious, we decide not to demand Edmund to change it. Score: 8/10 Plastering: Did not opt for full plastering. Only affected rockstone ceilings & walls. Overall, decent though not the best for an eagle's eye. Score: 7/10 Painting: One of the best. Very responsible & accommodating to my small little request to help me plaster some dings & dongs. Score: 9/10 Plumber works: Generally know his work well to lay the pipes in the least unsightly manner. Always ask before drilling/mounting - shows his responsibility. Overall quite satisfied with his style. Score: 8/10 Box-up/Window/toilet door/Glass installation: Happy enough that no damage & job well done. No rating since it's quite standard. Electrical: Neat laying & follow according to my instruction for all the power points required. No screw up. Score: 8/10 Carpentry: All the wood works are done reasonably well. Not above our expectation, but enough to satisfy us for the price we paid. Score: 8/10 Edmund, as a contractor: Responsible, humble and friendly. No hidden costs. Someone whom a house owner can depend on without much worries. Provides 3D drawings & gives good advise before executing the works. 100% contactable; Will not "run away" from problems. Few minor hiccups along the way (guess quite normal for renovation) and were subsequently solved. Only complain is that he may not be as highly resourceful as we hope for.

KSJL: Today will be done with. Those accessories are bought from Song Cho. Brand is Wel-Mi. Hi Chipee, At that time, the progress of mine is also snailing slowly. Of cos' we must not be in a rush to move in to allow such pace. Certain level of quality is there, based on my experience with Edmund. His workers did a decent job on each area, from tiling, painting, plastering to carpentry as long as time given is ample. Yeah, the metal gate is in matt black finish. Air brush, not manual paint.

Thanks thanks, Mickey & Hub&wifi

Preview of basin area in common toilet (as KSJL requested me to take a pic )

No prob dude It's solid wood w/ laminate. Don't quite understand what you mean... hahaha... But it's installed directly from flooring to false ceiling w/ reinforcement done at both ends.
-
Hey thanks CJ Today will be the HO if nothing goes wrong. Have not gone down to do a round check yet. Have PM you the cost but not sure if it's on the high side. haha. Most likely will be moving in after CNY. Too rush now. Prefer to take things easier.
-
Move-in uncertain yet. Will post pic once all the 'obstacles' are cleared. Too late... I asked Edmund to settle for me as I was quite busy with work at that time of dismantling...
-
Hi jooseng, Thank you Nope, we aren't using hot water for our kitchen mixer though.
-
Haaa chipee.... Thanks for your comments. My friend, who saw it over the weekend, commented that it gives a "arty farty" impression. Hey, not to worry, your turn coming soon. By the way, Edmund told me just now that he had met you up on your quotation. That's fast How's things going?

Day 86 Continuation Preview of kitchen cabinet with the black tempered glass backing (Hob will be installed tomorrow). As the pic depicts, it has a faint mirror effect. Totally love it. Angled close up on Hansgrohe Talis S kitchen mixer + Reginox sink undermounted on black galaxy granite top. No regrets choosing HG mixer as it has the "solid" & "quality" feel. Nothing of those wobbly type. Apparently, the water jet system is quite powerful when fully turned on. Side angle close up The guys just installed the tinted mirror in living hall & master toilet. Will take a pic once all the securing tape & wood are removed from the scene. GOod news!!! Edmund was on site when I arrived. Was informed that all the remaining stuff will be completed by tom. afternoon & he will do the HO tom. Finally got away with all these headache!!! I'm so so ... relieved.

Hi limmike, It's slightly longer than a normal door width. It's part of the package. Thanks. Yea... supposed to be.... but MIL gunned it down after seeing it .... So, bo bian became this divider. Frankly, it looks so much nicer and gives one a more airy feel now.
-
Day 86 Preview of my divider.... Overall quite nicely done up Currently awaiting for the tinted mirror to be installed
-
Yeah... the light is nice! Love the interior carvings.... Simon, have you seen the "ROCK" from Foscarini Diesel? It's salivating... For lower budget, can also try GROK. They have one which effects similarly, though not exactly the mirror of it.
-
Personally, I think gloss white or light cream color goes very well with orange. Will not go wrong. As for grey, I can't be certain though. It's your call, sis. Yeah! Somewhere ard Wed if nothing goes wrong
-
Yeah... we love the finished product. When we were conveying our idea to the gate maker, we were so afraid of them not able to get it done to our expectation. As my unit is along the common corridor, this design serves us well. Haaa..... in fact, the idea of this gate design comes partially from your gate @ Pinnacle. Did some amendment here & there before arriving to this final outlook.

Sure bro. Will take a close up once my TV comes in this Thurs
