i think it should be in renotalk... that's where i get most reviews from... but i didn't save the info cos i think the price was a bit high for me...a few hundred...and what i read... i read this quite some time ago...likely to be may-jul 09....before i started taking down ID/contractor numbers and seriously looking for contractor... it left an impression cos i. terrified abt xiao qiangs, so anything to keep them away is perfect...then the reviews weren't too favourable....said got xiao qiangs get trapped in one portion (true, cannot enter the house) but then need maintainance to clear the dead/dying/still alive xiao qiangs in that trapped partition....which makes it difficult to close after a while...this is what i can remember....lemme scroll around the forums, see if i can stumble upon it again... perhaps ya can try searching the forums also?

interesting...what's a bamboo carpet? am also thinking of rugs for flooring....sort of make the sitting area on the floor with rugs n low cushions/chairs ....any ideas where got such things? dowan beanbags or just big big cushions but something more....erm....morocan? or arabian?

yeah...got one small patch we decided to paint "spicy salsa" this bright deep red...then my hubby itchy fingers go and play play... then end up we all "Stop work" go and sign our names in the red paint on that wall... after 2 coats, still can see all the uneven patches cos we sign there.... lesson learnt: dun play play ah!!! (we'll do 3-4 coats for that small patch later on...)

my hubby is our dishwasher....but he auto wait until got full load i.e. the sink full , then he start to wash....even if it take 3-4 days to fill up the sink. bleah.... feeding xiao qiangs only! painting one coat was good...i know need at least another coat...but wanna wait till jason finish up the other stuff......then we OTOT.

if i remember correctly, mustafa doesn't have many on display. try audiohouse or mega discount or gain city bah. mustafa has more of those 2 door, 3 door kind.

I LOVE THIS!!! XIAO-QIANG-LESS!!! best!!! but do note, i've read some reviews in the past that the rubber sealing (or whatever) doesn't last for very long and after the maintainance contract (3yrs?), servicing fees are high but very necessary. perhaps that was sometime ago and they've changed the model....

you an audiophile ah? that's pretty steep for 'normal' pple like me woh... but i know pple who spent $30k for 1 set of speakers...and that's 2nd hand. *faint*

uncle jason did the sealant for me liao. Phew man.... so we did the top coat. er...it took a long time cos 1) we started late (no screwdriver ), really screwed 2) we painted the "borders (between ceiling and wall, and skirting, around windows/doors) quite carefully and slowly 3) our 2 friends arrived abt 12pm, then they did the "roller" work---that was really fast. a few hours then done liao. It was those borders that took a while. If you take the time to tape up, maybe faster. we decided not to complete the 2nd layer yet.....let uncle jason do his stuff first. today plumber came, knock hole here and there, remove pipe here and there, then all the painting around those areas gone!

painted ONE coat thruout whole house y'day. had help from my dad and 2 friends. so everything went smoothly and fast. colors a bit off from the software.....grr.....but overall ok lah. lol now the hse looks like mango pudding instead of vanilla ice cream. forgot to bring cam (and screwdriver to open the paint cans). so no pics. paiseh.

my contractor has mentioned that covering up those areas in (a) can be done very cheaply...within $100. (esp since he's doing boxing up here and there FOC also) in b) , are you doing any other hacking? can just consolidate. no need extra cost!!! i also have the same issue with you... after squaring, the place looks much brighter!! c) hacking must charge separately? one one frame is $180? how many are you doing actually? if do more, cheaper? i think quite ex lah. but seems like most pple think it's fairly reasonable.....do get a discount too...since you're paying so much for other things also...

not 100% true. they will question and very hesitant and give lots of excuses before refunding. even if it's fully wrapped, unopened etc.

the one with the big big awning "Jotun" and the one next to it. both are owned by the same boss. will provide delivery. Nippon Vinilex 5L is $44 and Dulux Pentalite 5L is $48. I think after consolidating, got discount. But I din bother to ask, since my contractor is the in between, i tot let him earn a bit, cos he's helping me paint ceiling FOC. dowan to ji jiao so much also.

i think on only after shower/ number 2 kind lah. prevent mildew to ventilate so the place dries up faster. if i recal correctly, one of the bloggers have a timer attached to the ventilator...so no need to remember to switch off. i think that's brilliant!!! as for furniture....sigh.... am not placing tv at the door/window there..but erm...like directly in front of the door ---along the wall that is shared by hall and common room. tv will be "blocked" from main door by shoe rack with doubles up as a privacy screen. so sofa area is more squarish but smaller at the same time. dining table, i'll place under the beam . i know very lousy FS, but lucky i dun believe lah. my FS-pro mom super frustrated at all the fs rules we're "Breaking". next time, show ya guys pics or can come up also.... lol
